Outstanding Water Flow
I replaced a Delta shower head that was barely flowing even after soaking in vinegar for 24 hours. The water flow is outstanding, I can use the shower handle to slow or speed up the power or intensity of the pattern. It was simple to install and a high quality plastic material.

Impressed with 1.75 GPM
After more than two years using this 1.75 GPM showerhead (K-22169-G-CP) after switching from a ~5.0 GPM head (K-7374), I'm impressed and happy with the purchase.A home water usage audit showed we had high water usage and showers were a culprit. Of course we loved the ca. 2002 Kohler 5 GPM showerhead (product spec says 2.5 GPM but I measured it at close to 5, so assume it's an older solid brass model or a flow restrictor was removed). It had high water pressure, fast cleaning, and a fast hot shower felt great to warm up quickly. So giving up all that for a lower flow head felt like a loss. Moreover, California now has a 1.75 GPM standard so Amazon wouldn't let me buy the 2.5 model here.Fortunately, this Forte 1.75 GPM model has been great. It obviously doesn't have the same pressure, but it washes well. It's at least as good as another 2.5 GPM ca. 2012 design and far better than the early low-flow heads in the 90s. The misty spray is kind of a neat trick--I crank up the water temperature, and it heats up the shower stall faster and steamy, without scalding. That is great for warming up. Then I switch to the regular/wide setting for the regular routine. The massage setting seems like a feature for a product sheet and as I expected, it's not too useful. But given this is about 1/3 of the old flow I don't feel guilty about linger a bit longer.Build quality is fine. The chrome plastic head still looks great and the setting knob still rotates with one finger and clicks just like new. Kept the old head in case the low flow head was not going to cut it but after the first few days I forgot about it.

Nice Sprays Disappointing Material
This is another lower quality shower accessory from Kohler, in our opinion. The head feels and appears to be a hard plastic, not metal. Does not appear to have a long life of use. The quality of the sprays are very nice. The head, in our opinion is not at all worth the price. We recommend looking elsewhere.

Best Shower Experience!
The media could not be loaded. A hotel I stayed in had this shower head and it was amazing. I immediately ordered one for my apartment and then also learned it also had a mist feature that is seriously life changing. No issues with leaking yet like other reviews have stated. The video I shared shows 1 out of 3 of the settings.

Decent if you have high water pressure, disappointing if you don’t
I had high expectations for this shower head, as it’s been the NYTimes/Wirecutter top recommendation for over 2 years now. We have two residences: A house with fantastic (if not overkill) water pressure, and an apartment with worse water pressure. This shower head takes on two completely different personalities. In the high water pressure house, it feels decent, like you can kinda tell it’s not a 90’s era torrential shower head, but you can easily stomach the compromise thanks to the water savings. But in our low water pressure apartment, it’s so underwhelming that we both laughed when we first turned it on. Water lazily dribbles out and you can see an arc as the water basically free-falls onto you when standing 2 feet away.We did some experiments, and saw that while the same 1.75gpm flows at each location, the difference is the aeration. With high water pressure, you can hear the shower head hiss, the streams coming out are milky white with air bubbles. But with low water pressure, the water dribbling out is simply clear with the occasional air bubble in the stream. The fancy aeration mechanism that is supposed to feel like extra water only seems to work if you have high water pressure.Apart from how lackluster the shower feels, we weren’t impressed with the overall build quality. It’s very prone to leaking from the valve unless you use a ton of teflon tape and tighten it really hard. The material is almost all plastic and after a few weeks of use the lever has worn down to dull plastic. This might be an okay shower head if you have really high water pressure and other low-flow heads feel like pins and needles — the aeration feature really helps to soften the streams. But if you have average to low water pressure, I don’t think you’ll be impressed at this price point, it feels like a compromise and there’s no hiding that it is a super water saving shower head.I personally recommend the High Sierra shower heads more. Even their 1.5gpm one feels more satisfying than this. And their 1.8 and 2.0 flow rates feel like showering under a fire hose.
