Astounding! Works Like Magic!
First, full disclosure. I don’t own one. Yet. I’m getting it tomorrow. This evening, I was introduced to this device in Wuhan, Hubei, at dinner with a half dozen Chinese academics. One of the Chinese professors is fluent in English, and she acted as a check on accuracy of the translations. We engaged in a broad range of topics including politics, food, travel in America, tech, social media, and which NBA teams people favored. I was dumbfounded! It worked so well we were all giggling like kids. On the walk home, we were chattering like old friends. I live in China a big part of each year, and I struggle with my Chinese; I’m an old guy (66 years), and learning new languages at my age is tough. This thing works. I imagine in a few more years there will be a model that translates into all languages, not just Chinese. The world just got smaller. Absolutely amazing!
