I bought the ballpoint refills thinking they would extend the life of my favorite parker pen, and was sadly disappointed that the refills were not nearly as good as the original. These gel refills were quite the opposite - smooth, clean, no bleed, drip, or goober. Exactly what I was wanting since I use my pen every day. The black color is dark and easy to see, no need to push down to aggressively so that it is visible - light and responsive application. Because it is Parker brand, it fits the pen perfectly - I would avoid buying the cheap knock offs here - just not worth it. How long it will last will depend on how often you use it, but I use my pen every day and only just today replaced it after buying these last year

Very nice. I was surprised that it fit the pen my grandmother used much of her life. She passed 23 years ago. I changed to fine point and like it better than the medium point that was in it.

Great, smooth and soft writing

I got the gel refill for my Parker jotter after getting more into some gel pens for note taking recently and it is a far superior writing experience than the standard ballpoint that comes with the jotter. There is no blotches and you don’t have to test the pen to get it working. One thing I will say though is while writing once I dropped the pen-tip down-which I know is not ideal but that made the pen unusable and I had to switch refills earlier than expected.

I have used this Parker Gel refill product for many years. I was told a number of years ago that using a gel pen when writing checks is a safer way as the check cannot be altered easily. The parker pen is such a comfortable pen to used and I write with them all of the time. I own at least four or five Parker pens so I keep a number refills on hand. I've been ordering these refills for many many years. I order the same ones and they last for a very long time just like the original. A journal every day so I use this pen a lot. I always keep a spare one in the drawer so that when the ink runs out I have one handy. This is a go-to for my favorite pen

New ink is good inkThis is conventional oil based ball point pen ink. It would appear that ink can grow old and in this case the new ink worked better than the original. The pen requires less pressure to get the ink down. This fit my Parker Jotter pen just fine. The new ink seems to go down to paper easier than old ink. Ink pens are nice because they are more conventional/widespread than fountain pens and the ink, being oil based, is not prone to the affects of water. A cheap/free plastic pen may work well too. May be hard to justify a replacement cartridge but a quality pen may be less prone to leakage/skipping etc if that's important to you.
