Manhattan Key Lime Juice, 8-ounce Bottle

This lime juice was recommended by "Gourmet" Magazine in 2003 as the best, according to their test kitchen, for Key Lime Pie. I started using it then, and it beat out any lime juice I had previously used in the taste category. I had even gone to squeezing my one key limes, but this still tastes better.

Go Amazon. Not only can I use the lime juice for my key lime pie recipe, but I can put it in my drinks now. Hee HeeSeriously, I'm glad that I don't have to worry about quality when I cook with a product like this.

Manhattan Lime Juice is the real deal! Fresh, not from concentrate which makes a much tastier pie. Everyone raved about the pie and it was gone that night! I highly recommend this lime juice and will use this juice for every key lime pie I make.

I purchased this item because I read a recipe for Key Lime pie and Gourmet magazine recommended it. I tried making the filling using actual key limes. It took 90 key limes to get enough juice to make the pie filling. The taste from the real key limes was very disappointing. That is why I bought this. And while it did make an excellent pie filling, the cost plus shipping was prohibitive. I bought a bottled key lime juice at the local grocery and made a filling using that. It came out just slightly less tasty than the Manhattan product. However, the price point makes the supermarket bottle far more desirable. I have no problem serving my guests a key lime pie portion knowing I still have some money left in my wallet, and they seem to think the pie is stellar.

It tastes very good and is very tart. You can tell it is not a watered down version of the key lime itself.
