Great For Woodworkers
Lignomat makes great moisture meters and I have the MD/C and the E/D models. If you get the MD/C version, you will have the added capability of adding remote cables and probes. These are extremely handy for kiln drying hardwood, because I can leave the cables and remote probes in the kiln and simply attach the meter to check moisture content. The MD/C reads in whole numbers down to 6%, while the E/D reads in to the tenth of a percent below 10% moisture content (also reads down to 6%).Longer pins are included with these meters. I use the longer pins with the E/D meter, and the shorter probes + remote cables with the MD/C. Both meters feel sturdy and most important of all the readings are reliable! I have used cheap meters in the past that would fluctuate by 5-8% when re-inserting the pins in the same area of the same board. Not with the lignomat. I usually see the exact same readings when I re-insert the pins in the same area.** Note: The MD/C model is shown in the picture **
