No-stress journal
This is a perfect way for the reluctant or too-busy writer to keep a concise record of her life. By the way, choosing that one word can be a serious artistic challenge, if you want it to be.

too fun
Just loved spending a year doing this! Sometimes I added more detail, but I enjoyed coming up with a word to describe the day!

I Love My One Word a Day Journal!
I absolutely love this little thing. I used to be an avid journaler, ranging from regular written diaries to online livejournals. I recently re-took up the task upon buying this concise journal for myself and I have to say--I love the concept of one-word-a-day! The idea really challenges you to pick the one most important aspect of each day, descramble it, and put it on paper. If you can do this consistently, then what you will be left with is a verbal catalog of a year's worth of emotions and events. Challenge yourself--get a one-word-a-day journal and get rid of your old reliance on a plethora of words!

Looking at words
Loving this book ...the discipline of finding an unusual word or saying every day ...or exploring meaning and etymology of some I use colloquially. A different sort of journalling which I also love

Keep it short and simple
Quite a chunky in depth, but small in size book. The idea is you describe your day in one word. No dates on the pages, just numbered, so you have to fill that in - ideal for those who don't record everyday, annoying for those who like order! There are a number of interesting pages at the back with ideas for words for different emotions / situations - quite quirky and clever; also hints on how to use the book, such as having code words for certain types of day. This was bought as a present, so not used personally, but I am a diarist and thought this was challenging and interesting.

Tiny vocabulary collection album
Fab little tiny book to record a new word & its meaning every day. I got one for each of my children 8 & 11 years both are keen users. Whether they go back through it and actually remember some of the words they found remains to be seen. There is probably a phone app that would do the same but I haven't found it if it's out there. If anyone knows of one do let me know, I could with doing some word collecting myself.
