This book is a good starting point for one who wishes to see nearly all aspects and techniques of the pottery spectrum.It's affordably priced and very well illustrated. Note, this book is a jumping off point and very useful to the beginner and medium level potter.

I am a beginning pottery student, and this has been a great help. It covers many basics, and italso provides a lot of inspiration.

Came on time lots of illustrations

Two years in to pottery, and I didn’t think I would want a book, but I’m very glad I bought this one. Extremely thorough, but not tedious. Well-versed, but simple for the beginner. Beautiful photos, great ideas, easy to follow organization. From set-up to finishing touches. I’m glad to be making room for this in my home.

This contains excellent overviews of multiple aspects of pottery including different clays, shaping techniques, coloring, glazes, and firing. It has many photos of beautiful pieces for both information and inspiration

I bought this for my aunt for christmas and when I inspected it before wrapping I was amazed at the quality of this book. BTW she LOVED it.
