We use these for a shower inside the locker rooms the hockey players break them a lot but these are an easy fix.

Hot water again! You can DEFINITELY do this yourself
You can most certainly do this yourself. Very easy and very simple. You can YouTube a video on how to install. The savings were incredible. Not sure how much it would cost to have a plumber come out but this was ALL I had to buy. My hot water is back and it’s amazing!

This was a perfect fit for our aging Symmons valve
This was a perfect fit for our aging Symmons valve. The home we purchased sat vacant and winterized for almost two years, so the cartridges on the two shower valves became stuck. My husband was able to use vinegar to free up one, but we had to replace the other. It went in easily and works great.

Received genuine part, with washer
The spindle I received was a genuine Symmons part. This may change depending on the retailer who ships it, but this is at least another data point. I actually got a small Symmons kit, and there was no need to buy a washer kit separately as the narrow sealing washer was included.
