A Night in the Ozarks
Seeing the Dillards pickin' and grinnin' on the Andy Griffith TV Show along with Andy and Denver Pyle was always entertaining. Now to have this DVD filmed in an area where my husband and I grew up brought back fond memories. Also, the artifacts and decorations shown in the house are so familiar to us. Adding to the enjoyment of the Dillards' Bluegrass music were the folks shown setting around on the front porch chatting and having a good time. Good music, good fun and good time.

a visit back home
"A Night in the Ozarks: An Audiolithograph" has it all--family, friends, music on the porch, music in the house, tall tales, reminiscing, Missouri Ozarks scenery. This beautiful dvd left me feeling like I'd just made a visit home. Thank you, John McEuen and crew for making it happen and for the glimpses of what went on "back stage". And a standing ovation to the Dillards for this dvd and for the many years of entertainment and inspiration they've given us.

Oustanding
This is simply a thing of beauty. When I got it, I watched it six times back to back. It's that good. The only thing I wish it had was more of Mitch's story telling. That would be the only thing that could improve it.

real world bluegrass
to see family and freinds playing together is great, the chats on the porch with the group members is like a step back in time. Mitch Jayne is very funny he seems to say more than the others, and his humour is very enjoyable to listen to. Watching and listening to the guys playing on the back porch in the rain makes the whole thing so much better, its like a live concert in your own home. you get a real look at life in the ozarks and if you read Mitch's book you will get more of an insight.

Wanted more
Video quality was poor, more of a documentary approach, I was expecting more music.

Very Enjoyable!
I bought this DVD for my father who is a big fan of The Dillards. I watched most of it with him and I liked the "down home" feel of it. Much of it is filmed at their home and you feel like a guest in their living room as they talk, play music, dance and laugh. Would recommend to anyone who is a fan of The Dillards or bluegrass music.

Front porch singin'
The Dillards are from my home town and are good friends of my family. The porch scenes were filmed at the Fiebleman farm at Howes Mill, MO. I enjoyed seeing some of my family members as they gathered around the porch. The music is pure Ozarks bluegrass. Each of the band members is very talented. There's nothing like sitting on the porch listening to the Dillards.--- Gigi Jordan Hunter

A Night in the Ozarks: An Audiolithograph
A great DVD of American bluegrass music and the story behind the members of this group. The homemade style (with excellent quality) of the video only adds to the authenticity and down-home feeling it leaves with the viewer.

Billiant Bluegrass DVD
This DVD is a brilliant documentary of The Dillards. They formed a bluegrass that was different to a lot of the Bill Monroe traditional sound. This film first came out VHS and I had it, but sadley it broke. I went to replace and found with horror it was no longer available. Years later it became available on DVD with added material, so I got a copy. I lent that out and never got it back. I then saw it available again and here it is, fantastic! If you are a bluegrass fan, this DVD is packed with great songs that the Dillards did on their recordings and it has a great story line. This copy I shall keep in a safe - I hope as I get older I don't forget the safe's password!
