If you look closely, you can see those fittings on my pump. This is not the correct pump for this pool. I put a bigger size pump to pull more volume and filter more water. Those fittings work perfectly highly recommend. They screw on to any brand pump to 1500 to 2500 gallon mine is a 2000 gallon hr pump

Works as expected but the hose clamps that came with it or two large so I had to buy my own. That was the only downside otherwise it would’ve had five stars.

This was a perfect fit for installing a larger pump on my pool. The pump I purchased has a larger hose then what my pool was designed for. This adapter did the trick and has all the gaskets needed.

If you remove the o-ring from the larger (1.5in) section a standard 1.5in pool cleaner hose press fits perfectly over it. This allows you to connect the hose directly to an Intex pool pump so you can use any standard pool vacuum with it. I installed a three-way valve as well to make this even more useful and select between pool inlet and vacuum hose.

Absolute must if you use your pool houses and don’t wanna spend a fortune on the ones that come with the ring prefabricated on it. These are super expensive and are absolutely wonderful. Have not had an issue with him whatsoever.

Like most everything offered on Amazon, you get a picture which isn't worth a thousand words. and little or no real information as to the meaningful specifications of the item for sale. Example: this item. The Item photos show no detail about the threaded portion if this "adapter". They do call it a "collar" , Which suggests it spins and fits NPT threads. They say nothing about how the unit seals. If it's a real "NPT" thread, the thread is tapered, and gradually seals, after a few turns.. generally, using Teflon tape or pipe thread sealer. Nope.. This adapter it needs a gasket.. not included. What size you ask? ... good question.. perhaps we could glean something about the thread from the provided information: 1) Converts threaded hoses to clamp style hoses. (no Help) 2) Keep your pump running at top efficiency . (no help .. but useful in the age of Trump) 3) They do mention something called 'index' (no one knows what that means in this application) Actually, no mention of the thread size anywhere. By looking at other similar (exact) items, some threads, like 1.25" and 1.5" were mentioned. So, I took a chance. Rather pretentious of the seller to assume all threaded pumps in a certain GPM range would fit. (Mine is within their range) .. However, it does not use an o-ring, it uses NPT threads. I can make this work, just spend a little more time and money adapting the adapter, and all will be fine. Remember: This threaded ring is for a straight 2" pipe thread, and it does not come with a washer. Your pump must have an o-ring in the flange that the ring attaches to ... so I have no idea how some of the 5-star comments here connected a 1.5 hose to their pump with this adapter... :-)
