I purchased thes for my 2001 Excursion rear glass. Mine had been broken for years and I finally decided to try to order the parts and get it fixed. Since I am a female with little automotive experience I just hoped that I could get help installing them. They arrived quick and in perfect condition. I was excited at the thought of finally having my rear glass functioning again and decided to see if perhaps I could do it myself... and it was so easy to install! They fit perfectly and worked beautifully! I now have confidence to start trying to replace the other little things that break on my truck.

I was very skeptical on these because of the price. I kept telling myself I can just return them. So when they arrived and I popped off my old ones and got these on, immediately I could tell these are the real deal. I was and still am super excited I found these and finally bought them. I should have done so a few years back when I first found them. I hope to not have to replace these, but I would buy these again if ever need be.

Worked excellent. Easy tolerances allowed easy popping in and they lift the hatch the moment you lift and pull the handle. I unscrewed 1/4” on both ends to give more lift, every little bit of lift height helps on the short hatch. Let’s see how long they last.

A short four or five line instruction sheet would have been nice to have to remind folks that the hatch is heavy use something to prop it up prior to pulling old piston

I just installed these shocks on my 2000 excursion 4 wheel drive. These shocks are awesome. I used to have to force the lid up and hope that it would stay up. Now I unlock the back hatch and it lifts itself up. No more worrying whether or not it is going to crash down on my head. Should have bought these years ago.

The replacement gas struts are OE quality and fit my 2004 Excursion perfectly. All that was needed was a flat blade screwdriver to pop out the old ones. The WAS struts are already greased and just snap into place. Caution! The Excursion rear hatch is very heavy. An assistant or solid prop will be required.
