Compact, Well-Built, and Super Convenient
I really like this handy little multitool. It feels like it’s built with solid, high-quality materials, and I appreciate that it’s not too bulky. Unlike some multitools that weigh down your keychain, this one is slim and lightweight, so it doesn’t feel like I’m carrying around a heavy chunk of metal. It's also super easy to use. I like that you can simply pick and pull out whichever tool you need at any time. The design is intuitive and convenient, which makes it a great everyday carry item.Overall, it's a great addition to my keychain, practical, durable, and unobtrusive.

BEST KEYCHAIN-ABLE "MINI" POCKET KNIFE / MULTI-TOOL I'VE OWNED
I've been a pretty regular Victorinox buyer for 30+ years. I've owned about 5 or 6 of their smallest mini model [1.5" blade, scissors, nail file, toothpick, tweezers] - attached to my keys. Disney City Walk's security confiscated this dangerous deadly weapon (don't know when they started TSA'ing people outside of the park, but I just found out they are now; and they took my mini knife - thanks Disney). Needed a new knife. Price on Victorinox was way higher than expected. I thought I'd try this model if I was going to pay more than $15. Turned out to be a good decision. This is well made. Heavier and larger than the Victorinox, but still a reasonable size for a keychain attachment. MUCH more useful than the Victorinox mini - and none of the useless outdated tools (e.g. hide awl) you'll find on larger multi-tool knives. This is my new favorite "mini" pocket knife. If I lose or break this one, I'll get another. GERBER: request - please keep making this one as-is.

Gerber Gear Dime
The size of this multitool is very small. In the closed position it is a little longer than a AAA battery. Grab a AAA battery and you get a feel for the size of the multitool. The knife is very small, about 1 3/8" long. And the blade does not lock open. The knife is also very thin. Think like a razor blade knife. It is too small for trail/hiking use. You will not be cutting branches or making tinder with this blade. It's thin enough I believe I could bend it in half trying to use it. So the knife is better suited for cutting fishing line or small rope. I think cutting food would work but the black coating on the blade comes off in your hands. So probably not best to cut food. The nail file is a half inch long. You could file a finger nail or something small. Not very useful at its small size but better than nothing. The slotted screwdriver tip is a little over half inch long. Probably a good size considering how thin the blade is.The scissor blade is about 5/8 inch long. It's small but good enough to cut fishing line or maybe a lose thread. The operation is good, springs open. The pliers are probably the best part of the knife. They are small but usable. They have about a 3/4" jaw. And a 2.25" handle. It operates ok. The jaws are not perfect, slightly misaligned at the tip in both length and side to side. But ok for a small plier. The tweezers are small and thin. They are stuck together so need to pry them open to use them. They are ok for small item work like picking up a very small part, etc. The tweezers do not have much holding strength. The bottle opener is small but appears to be ok.Overall I think a bit too small to be useful. The knife should have been longer and a little thicker. If you want a small tool set that is easy to carry then this might be it. But this is not a good trail tool or general tool. Use as a plyer is good.I rated the tool on overall usage. For the cost it's ok.

Durable and useful toolkit
Comparing NexTool EDC keychain and Gerber Dime. I don’t like number rating so it’s all descriptive. Overall differences are more slight than pronounced (except for the scissors) . Both were $29 and arrived within 48 hours. NexTool about 2 5/8” closed. Dime is 2 3/4” closed including projecting bottle opener. Main body closed is about 1/4” less than that. NexTool has a textured handle for good grip. Tool finish is satin which kind of makes the metal feel cheap to me. Overall the blades are bigger than the Dime and seems like you could get a little more done with them beyond bare necessity. Scissors in particular are superior. File grain (coarse and fine) is significantly more pronounced than the Dime. Spring action of the NexTool pliers mildly less than Dime’s. Dime’s pliers are about 1-2mm thicker than NexTool. Overall Gerber feels more solidly built but NexTool’s tools seem more useful. One of these is for the car and one is for a weekend daypack.

Awesome little tool, small flat head = Philips driver
I freakin love this thing! I’ve had one for over 3 years and it just now broke after some pretty heavy use. After it broke I bought another one right away. I have used every tool on this thing, something I can’t say for a lot of my other multi-tools. And the size is perfectly compact, slapping it on my key ring makes it so I’ve always got this thing with me. Also a little tool tip for this thing, the small flat head works extremely well as a Philips driver as well.
