This book is very simple and straight forward. It's a good tool to help your child learn the cursive alphabet. It starts off simply by doing a page of a letter and then eventually has you do some practice words. It's helped my 4th grader build her writing skills which we have had to work on a lot. I actually figured out after pulling her out of public schooling that she was never actually taught the proper way to print her letters and I was surprised to see that both myself and her teachers never caught on to the way she writes some of her letters.. As we know the longer you go about doing something the wrong way the harder it can be to unlearn... Teaching her cursive has actually also helped her with correcting some of the way she writes her print letters due to the way the cursive words flow.

Wanted my kid to learn cursive but didn't want to put in a lot of effort. Figured if it didn't work out, no big deal. $5 was worth a try. The book progresses from tracing individual letters to writing them, then using each in a word, then a page with sentences focused on each letter. That's it! I just asked my daughter to do one page a day. It takes maybe two minutes. At first she didn't like it but after a while she liked the idea of "writing fancy." She whizzed through the book. I literally never helped her past the first five pages. Now, with $5 and 5 minutes a day, she knows cursive conpletely. She event started teaching other kids in her class!

The Hippidoo workbook was the one I liked more, but this Carson Dellosa one comes in a close second as a beginner introduction to cursive writing. It's also more colorful which should appeal to certain young people. I consider it good to start with and/or to use for continued beginner practice.

Simple and easy! Great starter book to learn cursive.

I bought these for the grandchildren to learn and practice cursive. They actually enjoyed writing cursive using this workbook. I like that they practiced individual letters, words, and sentences.

Can't beat the price on the Carson Dellosa Cursive Handwriting Workbook for Kids! I bought four of these to teach my kids the basics of cursive, since schools have removed it from the curriculum. It's important for them to learn, and these workbooks are perfect for going back through the basics. Buying for four kids, the price was just right. Highly recommend for homeschool, classroom use or just because it's important skills to teach your kids!

Arrived early. Gotta love that. This is a beautiful book. The layout is fantastic. The practice areas are a good size and there is just enough review. You can't beat the price for this item.
