NOT a "BOWER" Adapter Tube as SHOWN
2 out of 5:-2 NOT a "Bower" Adapter Tube as SHOWN. Will not be buying anything from this seller again.-1 Adapter Tube does not have the alignment dot/ indicator to easily attach adapter tube to camera using the camera's alignment dot/ indicator. The Adapter Tube does work; and received prior to estimated delivery date.

Just what I wanted
Well made, easy to mount and remove, snug fit, clean threads for filter, no vignetting. The two piece design is a nice bonus, though I haven't had to use it yet.

Fits the camera but not the lenses.
This adapter doesn't work with standard Canon lenses even though it mounted easily to the G15. Did I order the wrong thing?

As Advertised
Quality metal construction. Enhances the appearance of the G-15 when attached. Easy on and off. I use it primarily as a UV filter and lens cap mount. Attaches easily and securely after the camera's mounting ring is removed with the Canon locking mount. I plan to keep the conversion tube permanently attached. There's the tiniest amount of slap when installed, but again it's locked into place and can only be removed by pushing the camera's lens release button and turning. It's not going anywhere.I use optical viewfinders a lot, especially outdoors. Without the conversion tube, the fully extended G-15 lens blocks about 10% of the lower left corner of the optical viewfinder. With the conversion tube, you lose about 25% of the optical viewing area permanently. For me, it's an acceptable tradeoff for the benefits derived from having an attached UV filter.I have encountered no vignetting at any aspect ratio even on the 16:9 setting with no zoom.Without the conversion tube, the G-15 was marginally pocket capable. That's assuming it was a sturdy oversized pocket, not a wimpy polo shirt pocket. The G-15 has some heft to it. With the conversion tube installed: fuhgedaboutit. With conversion tube, UV filter and lens cap, you're adding 2.5" to the overall length. The total package is 3.75" L X 4.25" W.

Great and does the job
Easy to set up and even easier to attach filters to it. There can be vignetting when using with a macro lens. I just compensate for it.

Good product with one flaw. Vignetting in lower right side of image.
This is a solid product that fits very well on my Canon G16. There is no wiggle to it once it is on. Makes the camera look more professional when attached. The only problem I am having is that when you attach both the barrel and the smaller filter adapter at the same time there is vignetting in the lower right hand corner when you shoot in wide mode with the built in flash. It looks like a shadow in the lower right hand corner when you review the images. When you take the filter adapter off the top there is still vignetting but not as bad, again when you are shooting in wide mode with the built in flash. I found when you zoom in just a little, the vignetting goes way. Please let me know if this is an issue with anyone else. I will still keep it on my camera and remind myself about this issue.

Sturdy Third-Party Accessory
Made out of metal, this is a strongly constructed adapter tube that lets you use filters and additional lenses with the Canon G15. The adapter does not expand or contract with the Canon's zoom as this is third-party hardware. Even though it is long enough to accomodate the zoom at its maximum length, I have not experienced any vignetting when using lenses or filters that are 58mm. In fact, I am very happy with this particular Bower product and strongly recommend it as an alternative to the much costlier Canon product.
