Dark Sparkler Paperback – April 7, 2015

Oh this book is just lovey and tragic and sad. The art is so perfectly matched with the stories, and of course I fell down rabbit holes with so many of these poems, wanting to know more about these women's lives. I've gifted this book many times as there's something very significant about not only giving these women voices but recognizing what Hollywood does to women if we allow it. I've re-read this at least four times. The Sharon Tate one gets me each time.

Ever since, I was made aware of Amber Tamblyn- the actor, I have grown an interest, in her literary works.

Excellent writer, albeit a bit grim. I'd never read her before & (after recovering from &rereading this volume) I intend to read the rest of her stuff. Nice book, fast delivery,perfect price ... an experience on the "Very Good" level across the board ...

Love the cadence and how she turns the phrases of her poetry. The poet writes in a way that is very personal and you are drawn into the expression of her world. Great reading - and I love it spoken even more.

I wanted to like this book. The first few poems lure you in. Unfortunately most are rather confusing. A lot of these actresses are very obscure so it doesn't really help to figure out what she's talking about. The blank page that has Lindsay Lohan name on top is either bitchy or just a sad poem waiting to be written.

All of her poetry books are wonderful. Very relatable and kind of funny in a dark humor way.

Dark and beautiful. She's a very talented poet.

Filled with contemporary and vaudevillian starlets, real and fictional. Amber Tamblyn is a poet you'll want to add into your canon.

Ich habe mir dieses Buch als Fan von Marilyn Manson bestellt, weil der Künstler in diesem Buch mit einem Aquarell-Portrait vertreten ist. Jedoch habe ich mit Freude feststellen dürfen, dass auch der Rest des Buches großartig gestaltet. Teils tolle Gedichte treffen auf interessante Kunstwerke. Ich schlage dieses Buch immer mal wieder gerne auf und entdecke Neues. Sehr empfehlenswert - auch als Geschenk!
