King Charles Modern Farmhouse Floral Matelasse Bedspread, 100% Cotton Breathable Bedding, Full/Queen, Sage

This spread is lacking in several areas. To call it matelasse is a misleading stretch. Guess they got me with that "historic Charleston" line. There is no interlocking stitching that you would expect. The fabric is cheap and uncomfortable. It shrunk after following the laundry instructions and does not come close to touching the floor and I have a low bed!! It looks like I've had it since the Carter administration.The color is nice, but that is the only good thing I can report.

First of all, this is a beautiful bedspread. The color looks like a very light blue online, but it is really a beautiful medium blue (almost the color of the Caribbean). My only complaint is that it is a little heavy, but if you can handle that, the color and quality are both outstanding. I have a king size poster bed that is high off the floor--not as high as some I've seen, but high. I have a hard time finding a coverlet that is long enough on the sides. They're okay from top to bottom, but always too short on the sides. So, I decided to try using a bedspread as a coverlet, and it fits perfectly on the sides, but is a little too long from top to bottom. I can either cut off the top and use it with shams, or just wrap the pillows the way we used to do in the "good old days" and not use shams. Either way, I'm keeping this beautiful bedspread. I just love the color. The online picture does not begin to do it justice.

I thought the Matalese would be more pronounced. I needed something, so I kept it. It will be replaced with a better choice in the near future. I also discovered a “Run” in the fabric....but it is on the drop so can’t be seen.

The bedspread was a lovely color (sage), and well-made but fairly heavy to work with. Before ordering, I asked questions about the best size for a queen-size bed, 26-27" high. I wanted the spread to almost touch the floor. Two people suggested I buy the king size so I did. Unfortunately, it was so large I could not make it work. With the length, I could tuck it under pillows and fold it to make it fit. However there was nothing I could do with the width. The spread dragged on the floor and had to be tucked under the mattress at the corners, losing the lovely detail of the matelasse pattern. I returned it, exchanging the king for a queen.

I Had this bedspread for over twenty years and the back side was wearying out so I wanted to replace it but wanted one just like it and was worried that I could not fine one, so I cut the tags off the old and went on line and was so surprise to fine that the company was still in business and that they were making the same spread with just a little difference in the design so I order it and was very happy with it when it came, I almost don't want to give my old one away, I think I well keep it a while

Finally a King Size Spread that Fits!!! Elegantly Drapes to the floor. Amply covers over and tucks under four bedroom pillows. Beautiful elegant design, that accents the edge of the bed. Not too light, not too heavy. No complaints. Couldn’t ask for more. Definitely would purchase again.

This spread was a great value- I have king bed with a very thick mattress with a topper and it is hard to find spreads or quilts that are large enough but this spread did the trick. It is just the right size and is not too heavy. Good quality. Glad I bought this.

This spread is heavy but I expected it to be due to being a king size spread. Because it is heavy it drapes beautifully. You do need a large tub washer to wash the spread but it does not shrink nor lose its shape due to laundering. It is a beautiful spread and exceeds my expectations. I plan to purchase the pillow shams and throw pillows..
