Classic secure design... Strongly constructed... Thousands in use.
This is a very strong excellent bike rack well made without cutting any corners on the quality of the materials. It is a design that has been a standard for fifty years. Thousands are in use. ELECTRIC BIKES ARE HEAVIER, SO CAREFULLY OBSERVE THE WEIGHT SPECIFICATION FOR THE 2, 3 OR 4 BIKE CARRIERS. It can easily be put on & removed from almost any car, unlike racks that need to be attached to a trailer mount. This is my second rack from "Allen" after forty years I retired the first one due to old age. It was still so stable that I could jerk the bike rack and shake the car!!! This bike rack is the classic design and exceptionally well built .... BUY THIS RACK

Excellent Bike Rack for the Money
I bought this primarily to carry two bikes on a cross-country trip from NY to CA, and it worked exceedingly well on my 2025 Honda CR-V. Set up/installation was a breeze. It performed perfectly with no issues at all the entire drive. For long trips, it’s smart to check the straps at each stop and retighten if needed, but that’s true for any bike rack, even the expensive ones. I also recommend tying off the straps near the buckle to help from loosening and so they don’t flap in the wind. I also used simple Velcro straps to keep the tires from moving or spinning, and adding heavy fabric or leather scratch protectors anywhere the rack or bikes touch the car. Those small extras made everything even more secure. The rack folds down for easy storage when not in use. High recommend!

Does the job, just wish it didn't cause damage to my car's paint job.
I've used this carrier about 4 times now. The trips I take it on are about 3 hours away and I drive on state highways and interstates. The good - it works as described. Not going to lie, the set-up was fairly easy, despite the poorly translated instruction sheet. My bike has never fallen off during my trips. The straps are sturdy and hold up under pressure. An annoyance (to me): So, to ensure the rack does indeed stay in place and hold your bike in place, you have to place the 2 side straps along the edges of your trunk and you have to tighten the heck out of them. If you don't and drive over 45 mph, the side strap will come loose and rattle, making a God awful noise. So, making them SO tight, you can imagine what happens. The metal edges of these side straps (and actually the top ones as well) will end up grinding a bit and takes paint off your car's paint job on the edges of the trunk. Not a huge deal, I'll just have to get some touch-up paint -- but it's annoying. I may experiment supergluing a thin layer of foam on the metal end of the straps to see if that helps. Overall, it does what it says it will do and it's not hard to put on and take off. Just be aware that it will chip off some paint on your trunk area where the straps attach. This is being used on a 2022 Toyota Corolla, a car this IS listed as compatible with. Again, it works great and I'm glad my bike survives the trips I take it on.

Nice rack 😂 for the price point
Dude, this thing is awesome for the price point! It was easy to install on my vehicle (Mitsubishi Outlander). I haven’t had any issues with the bikes fitting. They sit securely and don’t bounce at all! It’d be cool to have a way to lock my bikes for when we need to stop at a store or something, but I just fixed that with a bike lock.

Great product. Even if you're as uncoordinated as I am!
The first installation is easily the most frustrating part. When I first opened the box. I was very nervous that I was going to need a Boy Scout to help me attach it to my car. I settled for my roommate. It looks complicated when you first attempt to figure where every one of the flopping tentacle-like straps go. Then you press the rack's padded bars against your car and strap the hooks onto your trunk or hatchback. The product description brags about how initial assembly shouldn't take more than a few seconds, which isn't especially flattering to my skills. The first assembly is easily the most frustrating part. Took me about five minutes to discover exactly what goes where and how. Only about a minute of that time was spent crying and ruing existence. The second time you put it on takes about thirty seconds. Your straps are already at about the right length and your muscle memory will compensate for your general inability to attach things. Putting bicycles on there is pretty easy. Lift them up and into the little cradles. Then those are a simple strap on each side and it holds it secure. Repeat these steps for however many bicycles you plan to attach (which really maxes out at three total). I would recommend buying bungee cables to secure your front tire so that the handlebar stays stationary. Pros: 1. I am terribly uncoordinated at these types of things. And I have managed to get my assembly time down to about 29 seconds. If I can make this thing stay on my car, then your dog probably could too. 2. It's super compact. When I'm not using it. It fits really well inside my trunk. 3. The price. I was initially going to buy a much more expensive one, but I decided to give this one a chance. It has worked tremendously for my needs. 4. It holds very securely on the back of my Chevy Cobalt. I never have to worry about it. Cons: 1. The instructions are not very intuitive or helpful. It ends up being more guesswork than I'm sure they intended. 2. It looks very daunting at first. But once you attach it once. It's never difficult again.
