If you are having problems with ps2 to hdmi, such as graphical bugs, this will fix it. I had a ps2 hdmi adapter said "TTX TECH" on it, I had no idea why it looked green or cropped badly and gray, I had a feeling it was the adapter, if you had or had problems like these it's the crappy adapter, this one just works and the 4:3 to 16:9 is amazing for switching to fighting games and other games, just pay the 32 bucks, it's totally worth it.

The only issue is that it does not really improve the visuals a great deal of some videos on the PS 2. At least not as good as the "before & "after" photos regarding this product, including other products I checked out before purchasing this. However they do state this if you read the info before buying. The picture is improved, just not as much as I was hoping. It is a very easy hook up. One end of the cord fits in the main plug for the PS 2 and the other end is plugged to the device & then to the TV. You will need to change your settings for display on the PS 2 (RGB output) in order to format the picture to the screen. After that you are good to go. No real issues or problems.

I got this as I no longer own a TV with RCA jacks to hook up my PS2 console. It worked perfectly. Easy to hook up and really is "Plug and Play". There is no improvement to the game video quality, but I didn't expect there to be. Others seem to be surprised or disappointed by that but The game video quality is determined by the game DVD so I didn't expect an improvement. My console sat for a few years, but it is back up and working well now because I purchased this adapter so I can use it with modern TV/Monitors. Really worth it!

Does exactly what it says. Connects a PlayStation 2 to modern HDMI ports without using an adapter. There is little to no video lag. It’s super easy to install and to use. It clears up the text on the screen even. I had been using an adapter before and struggled to see the finer details in my games but this fixed that issue. All the blur is gone. I love it.

This item does work. Isn't exactly the best quality for picture. It doesn't hence the colors and the pixels. But keep in mind this is for retro gaming. Therefore can look quite pixelated. The pictures in the review are of resident evil 2 the original. One picture is in the 4-3 ratio one pictures in the 16.9 ratio for the HDMI converter. The last picture is using an original RGB outlet that the PlayStation came with. All taken on the same Sony HDTV. It would have been nice if it included some smoothing over for the graphics. Maybe it looks better with a PS2. If you can't play on your TV anymore because you don't have a component option this is the product for you. If you do have a component option I recommend going that option. Doesn't mean the product doesn't work as advertised it does. I personally am waiting for a laser and I'll test it with my PS2 and update this review. But when it comes to PS1 kind of pixelated and makes everybody look like blobs. This is an honest opinion and I'm a real person that likes games personally I just beat this resident evil 2. However if you just need something to play because you don't have a CRT or a component option on your HDTV this is a good product.
