Both. However, if you only want to use one you have to use the right one the left one will not work by itself but if you are using both they will work together.

Q: Is there any sound lagging if watching tv with these?

Well first of all they haven’t been released for general sale yet so hard to say. However buying these for TV is overkill. These are high end wireless earbuds for music. For TV a 50 dollar pair would be fine. Or a pair of Jaba 65t for half the price will work

Q: Do you retain volume and track control just using the right side? I don't care about phone controls.

If you use only the right side you will only have call controls.

Q: Will these earphones work for running and hard workouts?

I work out and do all-day yard work with these and they have been great. no complaints
