Waste of money
We were struggling with getting our newest adopted dog to pee outside. This was recommended to us so we decided to give it a try. Neither of our two dogs, the cat, or chickens could care less that this thing is in the ground. They just walk by, don't even give a sniff.

Helps teach an old dog new tricks
Every dog (and trainer) is different but the Pee Post is working to retrain my 4 year old Golden Retriever. He was killing my grass in the area of the yard that he frequently urinated. I placed the Pee Post in the pine mulch around a Palm tree where I wanted him to start urinating. It has a very strong smell of urine. The next time he needed to go out, I put him on a leach and took him straight to the Pee Post and gave him his normal command to “go potty”. He smelled it, lifted his leg, and peed on it. I then gave him praise saying “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” I then brought him back in the house to get him a treat all while repeating the new command “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” For the next three days I kept him on a leach when letting him out and gave the new command, “go pee pee on the tree”. After 3 days I began letting him out without a leach but pointed to the tree while still giving him the new command. It has been 3 weeks now. He has had a few times where he started peeing on the grass but I just gave him a strong “NO” command and repeated the new command. I would say he is about 90% retrained at this point proving you can teach an old dog new tricks! (With a little help from the Pee Post.)

No
Waste of money. Sorry . I didn’t send it back just because I kept thinking it might work someday. All dogs are different so it might be worth a try.

This unfortunately wasn’t successful for our dogs
Good idea but unfortunately my dogs wouldn’t use it. We have wanted to direct them to pee in an area away from our daughters play stuff. He ended up ripping it up and chewing on it.

Meh not the best
Most of this post sits in the ground. Only round top part meant to be the attractant. Bottom not sharp enough to be pounded into ground. Male chi not really intrested in it. Yuck purchase.

Doesn’t work
Well, like others, I fell for this despite the bad reviews. It hits the sweet spot where it’s cheap enough that if it doesn’t work- oh well. Also more of a pain to return than just tossing in trash. We adopted a Rottweiler/Australian Cattle dog mix. Incredible / wonderful dog. Only “issue” is he will not go to the bathroom within 100 yards of my house (live in city). Most of the time it’s fine - we both could use a good walk. However, some days I’m in a hurry or not feeling well. We have a small fenced yard, and I really want him to just go in the yard. He refuses. He loves marking his territory around the hood, so took a chance that this product would tempt him to go in the yard. He sniffed it once but it didn’t cause him to want to mark over it, and he’s never sniffed again. Same story as all the reviews.Oh well, figured it was a bust, but worth the shot in hopes it would help my dog go at our house. He still will not!Oh well, at least I’ve lost 6 pounds last couple months from all the walks!

Worked great for me!
I have a Chinese Crested dog and for anyone familiar with this breed knows they are VERY sensitive with their bathroom needs. If it's too cold...won't pee outside. If it's too muddy...won't pee outside. If the area has already been marked enough times...won't pee at all in that area. Well, I moved and have a very small yard now (10x20 ft) and after he had sufficiently peed on everything, he no longer wanted to pee in that area and would just stand by the gate...then have an accident in the house. (Enter face of frustration) I could not feasibly walk him every time he needed out (I live in a very low lit area with no sidewalks). I popped this in near the fence and immediately he peed next to it. I thought it maybe was a coincidence but several months later he's still peeing on it or near it with no accidents.

Didn't work
Bought this despite the poor reviews, hoping my dog would be attracted to it. She did not pay any attention to it at all, not even when I led her to it.
