Field tested. These things did exactly what we wanted them to. the sharp tips of the bolts are the key--they work right through with a knife puncture to the skin. They will not do the sole work of keeping the pig from spinning on the axis--you will need to make sure you have some type of bar or support to carry the spindle, but they do secure the pig right along the spine to the spit. Highly recommended.
