Magnetic Window Washer
I bought this double sided window cleaner to wash the outside of a fixed window in a high rise apartment building that I can't reach with a traditional squeegee. I have only used it once, so this review is based on first time use only. It only fell off twice, probably because I was going too fast. It works as promised though and cleans the window well. However, be aware of the limitations. No issues with the design or quality of this product. I think any other magnetic double sided washer would have the same draw backs. My application is probably the most challenging for this product. I cannot reach the outside window with my hand at all, so I'm totally relying on the washer to do the cleaning job. I can't reach to hand wipe any left over streaks. I have to reach my arm outside as far as it will go from an adjacent opening window about 2' away just to place the outside piece of the washer on the window and someone else has to hold the inside part of the washer on the inside window and guide me on where to place it so the magnets attract. I had to blindly push it onto the window the last few inches of my reach with my finger tips. If it were 1" farther away I wouldn't be able to reach. It does the job well in the center of the window, but it's hard to wipe the window edges with the squeegee side, so it leaves streaks about 1" out from all the sides. Maybe with more practice I could do better, but I don't seeing it being perfect. Then when I'm done washing the window, since I can't reach it I have to let it fall and retrieve it with the cord, so it leaves about a 6" x 6" area unwiped at the bottom corner where it fell off and couldn't be wiped. I bought this product because they only clean the apartment windows every 6 months, so in between washings they get pretty dirty and hard to see out of. Aside from the remaining streaky window edges, it does clean the center well so it achieves the purpose that I got it for in cleaning the center of the window so I can enjoy the view. Just be aware of this limitation if you have a window like mine that you cannot reach to easily.

Does only a okay job of cleaning the windows
We have several large windows and/or windows that are hard to access from the outside. So, I thought this would be a better solution than trying to reach them with a ladder or reach around from the inside.I used the recommended mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap as my solution and cleaned several windows. For the most part, it manages to get most of the dirt off the window. However, it does not leave the window 'crystal clear.' We ended with streaks and blotches on the window. Another issue is how you finish the window, you are going to end up with a 4x4" splotch from where you remove the pads. So, in the end, you have to wipe down the window to remove excess solution.Apart from the ability to clean the exterior of hard to reach windows, I cannot say it does a better job, is easier, or is faster than just using other methods for cleaning windows.EDIT - After putting these away for the winter, I pulled them out to use to clean my windows. Over their months of storage the magnets have become weakened and the squeegee part become brittle and cracked. They are basically useless. Now, if I try to use them, even at full strength (on my double pane windows), the outside piece falls off almost immediately. And, the cracked squeegee means it doesn't remove the cleaning solution as cleanly. They are going in the trash.

Takes effort but works great
This is not a product you can use at ease right away, but it’s not the hardest tool either. Just takes patience and a very small learning curve. Once you do a window or two it’s a very effective product.I moved to a three story building with no way of cleaning 2nd and 3rd floor windows from the outside. So I bought this product. My windows look brand new now!The tool will fall occasionally, especially while you’re learning to use it, that is why there is a tether to use. Don’t be discouraged.I cleaned the insidr of my windows by hand first. I just used Windex to di the outside. I sprayed the pads on the “outter window” half of the tool and started at a top corner. I moved the tool like an arrow from side to side. There are videos on YouTube demonstrating this. I made sure to end my path of cleaning at the corner of the window closest to my reach so I could wipe off any left behind grime.I did have to wash a couple of windows more than once. One even needed 4 washes! But the product simply can not clean an entire bad window in one try. If you see lines or smudges after a wash, just rinse the pad off with water and do it again.

Good product.
Very good product. However do not let your kid use it and forget to put the separator in it. I can't get it apart after he had helped me with the side windows, and just let it clamp together

I'm so happy I found this little tool.
We live in a 4th-floor condo with the exterior of the windows having not been cleaned in at least 5 years. Then the exterior of the building was pressure cleaned with the wall dirt washing onto the windows making them extremely dirty. I am so happy to be able to say that this little tool did an awesome job. I used a general cleaner with the first wipe to get the first layer of dirt off and then used a window cleaner for a second wipe over for the final clean. If the windows were done annually I think one wash with window cleaner would have been enough. This little tool truly did the job for me. I used the S pattern as recommended, and the little squeegee took the streaks away and they look awesome. Our windows slide up so it was a little tricky for us to figure out how to get the outside pad on the upper window while the bottom window was open but with a little ingenuity we got it done. We have Florida impact windows and I used the 3rd magnet strength and it worked fine although 1 and 2 also worked. I moved the pad slowly so it wouldn't let go. It did let go twice when on 1 but the cord attached to my wrist saved it from dropping to the ground. I would highly recommend this tool if you can't reach your exterior windows.
