IKEA Orgel Pendant Lamp Shade with Lighting Kit

I love my light. I just hung it up in my small apartment above my 4-person chocolate colored pub table in my dining room area and it looks adorable. Yes, it is fragile, yes it is made of paper. I was extremely careful with it when I was hanging it and was extremely careful when I put it together. It was perfect. My cord is black, but very thick and durable! The hardware that comes with it, is great. I actually prefer black, but some of you may not. I am very pleased with my no fuss, easy assembly, great shipping speed, great price and was packaged nicely, lamp. Thank you!!!I literally pulled it out of the box, placed the 2 wire arms carefully in place to open up the accordion-style paper lamp, hung it on the hooks provided above my table, secured the paper lamp shade & placed a 13 watt CFL (swirly) light bulb in it, plugged it in my ceiling light socket, and turned it on! That's it!!

I received my IKEA pendant Lamp Shade, which says with Lighting Kit, but there was no lighting kit. The other reviews said it came with a black cord with no on off switch. However, the item I got had no lighting kit or chord whatsoever. I have tried to get through to the seller to get the lighting kit sent to me, but right now I am only being offered a refund. Too bad, we really wanted the light.

inexpensive lighting that came with a black cord without the on/off switch. it was also missing the 2 wires that's suppose to prop it open. i just attached a couple lightweight items to the 2 holes that the wires are suppose to go to keep it open, lightly dabbed the shade with some water to relax it. i would get it again if it came with all the parts.

Just got this lamp and so far I am pleased with it. It's a little smaller than I expected but it's cute and looks like the picture. It came with two hooks to hang the wire from and the wire fixture seems like good quality. I could probably hang another paper lantern from it if this one breaks later on. It's also bright enough to light the small bedroom I put it in in with a nice gentle glow.

"No one puts Baby in a corner!" You might not want to put Baby in a corner but this lamp fits nicely.Inexpensive and bright lighting for that odd nook and cranny or a dorm room. It casts a bright, but not harsh, light. It's perfect for reading in my favorite out of the way corner of the room.

The lamp shade arrived with no lighting kit. The description clearly says lighting kit included. This is false advertising to say the least. I should have read the other reviews which indicated the seller has a history of delivering without the lighting kit.

This light worked perfectly in my classroom that doesn't have windows and I don't like to turn the florescent lights on. Using a few paperclips, it hung quite nicely over my desk. It does not have a switch to turn it on and off, so you have to be willing to plug it in when you need it or put it on an outlet that is controlled by a switch.

I love how these look in our house and they brighten the dark room so well! I'm so glad I stumbled upon them. They were easy to install and worked instantly. I think it took me about 20 minutes to out them together, hang them, run the cords where I wanted them, and turn them on. Great lamps that basically match everything.
