DickiesMen's Relaxed-Fit Utility Pant

if ur a girl and want to buy these, i reccomend!! i saw a tiktok where this girl bought them so i HAD to purchase them because they looked so cute on them!! she did say to size up, so i sized up 2 sizes from my normal size and they fit perfectly, so i reccomend sizing up a few sizes. they’re pretty stiff but i think if i wear them enough or wash them they’ll get more comfortable :) overall, i recommend!

My boyfriend is very consistently a size 38w 34l. I originally ordered these pants in his size and he could not button them. They seem to run small and as some comments mention--there is NO stretch, so there is not a lot of flexibility within the sizing. I returned them and after some searching I was able to find a 40w 34l. (I'm not sure if there are two Amazon listings for the same Dickies pants or if they re-stocked or what happened,) but I was happy to find the 40w 34l and ordered 2 pairs for him. They fit him much better on the waist (he wears a belt anyway so I don't think he's worried about them sliding down at all while he's working.) He said he would rather the legs be a little bit wider (as the size 40's were,) so that he had better range of motion for working on high ladders and working on houses from the roof. They look like they fit well, just slightly more baggy than the 38w 34l but he does have thinner legs for his weight.. They definitely aren't baggy enough that he would trip on them though. I did see comments suggesting to plan for shrinkage and if these shrink a little bit they should be 100% perfect! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PANTS AS THEY'RE A GREAT VALUE! BUT I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST SIZING UP! ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN TO MACHINE WASH AND DRY THEM! We haven't washed his yet as they just arrived, but they are cotton so I immediately anticipated some shrinkage prior to seeing the comments. Being a painter he often has to throw away work pants because of the amount of paint on them or tears from the kind of work he does.. I was happy to find these because they're inexpensive enough that it will be nothing to toss them out once they're too worn and buy a few more pairs! The dickies brand pants he had actually held up last year better than his "rugged blue" pairs, but the rugged blue pair were thinner and he liked those for the summer in the heat. These dickies pants seem slightly more durable and thicker for the fall/winter especially for days he is working outside. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THESE PANTS OVERALL! As far as the customer question/comment about the "re-stocking fee and returning fee" he was charged, THAT HAS CHANGED AND WAS NOT THE CASE FOR MY PURCASE, which I think is important for people to know! I wouldn't purchase an pair of pants especially with questionable sizing if I knew I would have to pay a 45% return+restocking fee... I returned the first pair that were too small and re-purchased 2 pairs in the bigger size a few days later and I was not charged a cent for the return or restocking of the original pair!

Unfortunately I am returning this item because it is too large and baggy. Perhaps they would have shrink in the wash but I don’t have time to find out. But I don’t really blame the product or the seller because I did order a size up. So perhaps the 46s would’ve been a better fit (I got 48’s). But even the 30 length that I usually wear was pretty long. However, I definitely cannot blame the product or the seller for the fact that I totally forgot that I already have a pair of perfectly wearable white pants that better fit the occasion for which I was to wear them, as the painters pants were the closest I could find that seemed like they had a chance at fitting. So d’oh on my part! I otherwise love Dickies pants and have several other pairs...I would not let this review discourage you from buying...

These were not bright white. These are the old fashioned non bleached twill. These are the good ones I have not seen in a few decades. Hate all modern lighter snow white cotton ones. Am a 37 yr paint contractor. Actually holds my larger cell phone. I got an impossible the find in paint store a 32x34. Im barely 6 ft 1 and have to special order this length as I assume the industry thinks all painters are short. Stores sell 32x32.Bought 2 pair will buy 2 more. Estatic as nothing is better than high quality work pants.

exceptional quality item and love the weight of the fabric for summer. Ordered a 29 inch waist which is what I wear in Wranglers and the waist is smaller by two sizes. Will be even tighter after washing. The leg is perfectly loose. love these but need to return for a larger size. -return label cost is $5.00.-$2.00 restocking fee

These are a great pair of pants once I actually found the correct size. I normally wear a size 40-42 in a pair of loose/relaxed fit Levi jeans. After ordering and returning a few pairs of these dickies, I found that I needed a 48 waist! Be sure if you are ordering these you order a much larger size then you normally order. I will say they are made with great quality. The pockets are excellent and the material is a good weight as well. Durable but not too heavy. Overall great buy once I found my size.

My husband wears these to work in and loves them. They are very very stiff and some what see thru fyi. I washed them hoping they'd loosen up a bit and nope they are still stiff. My husband wears them for work and doesnt seem to mind the stiffness of the pants. He wears a 31/32 so thats what I bought and the length is a tad longer than a 32 which is good because who likes short pants anyways lol

They fit o.k. when you first wear them but after one cold wash and dry on low they shrunk so much I cannot snap the fly shut. Buy 1 size bigger at waist to compensate for shrinkage, but the length is fine.

Excellent quality. Had a a couple pairs before and they lasted for years. Very happy with my new trousers.

Come up slightly small

I am a painter and have bought dozens of paint pants. I’ve had no problems with Dickie’s until ordering from amazon. The fly was cheap and broke on the first day.I didn’t attempt to return as they got paint on them.Won’t pants through Amazon again, not satisfied.
