There are hundreds of options for these lightweight nylon hammocks. Some that come packed with accessories. I wanted a plain and simple hammock that would last through relaxing in the back yard all the way to backpacking in the mountains. I really only have two cons to this hammock: One, the carabiners that come with this, although tough enough for the job, are quite crude and I replaced them with stronger lightweight aluminum examples (a very inexpensive upgrade). And also the way the hammock is bicolored is via two other dyed pieces of material. Although there's no issue with strength here, I'd like to see as few seems as possible. This has led to a lot of small frayed sections that were easily fixed with a quick snip and a lighter. Overall it's been a great hammock that weighs almost nothing and has proven to be as durable as much more costly options. A side note: both mine and the other Foxelli hammock I purchased for my girlfriend came with a small flashlight and a paracord bracelet. At such a low price point this was so awesome to see. Foxelli appears to genuinely care about making a customer base happy. Hard to say the same for a lot of these small dealers with names you can't pronounce.

This is the third item that I have purchased from Foxelli. It uses the same 210T nylon that the other manufacturers are using, but the others charge 2-3x as much. This hammock is comfortable, does not sag due to the material quality, and is wonderful to set up and lounge around in, whether it be at home, in the woods, or on the beach (just find some palm trees!).I also have 2 LED headlamps that my son and I have used for spelunking with his scout troop. I love Foxelli's brand of outdoors gear! They are reasonably priced, good quality and durable, and perform perfectly as described. If anyone is looking for some camping or outdoors gear, I highly recommend giving Foxelli a try. This is my honest review of their products that I have purchased so far, and I did not receive any type of compensation or item in exchange.

I just got this in the mail today. I think it is more of a single than a double because the blue part is quite narrow. My husband and I were actually thinking a single might be better anyways since we already have a good double hammock.The color was a lot different than the picture. The blue and gray were a lot lighter in shade, but I like anything blue so I am not too disappointed by that.I liked how it comes with everything you need to hang it up in the tree right when you get it. However, our other hammock was bought from Utopia on Amazon and was a little bit cheaper in price, but the rope and carabiners seem to be stronger and better made. Plus, this hammock comes with the rope, but you have to figure out the knots yourself. I appreciated how the Utopia one had the knots and everything ready for you. Neither of these brands provide instructions for you though. It would be nice if they at least provided a diagram for people who are new to hammocking (like myself).

I purchased the purple/dark green hammock first, for myself, just to see if a lower priced hammock was worth it.The hammock arrived, upon opening the attached stuff sack, I noticed the carabiners were attached to rope instead of pictured nylon straps - this is okay because it feels more sturdy to me - just mentioning it because it's different than pictured.I had purchased these in conjunction with the Foxelli Hammock Straps XL, so I didn't have to fuss with the enclosed rope (I'm not comfortable with my knot tying skills). I would highly recommend those for that reason.My boyfriend, in trying to find a good spot to hang this, was testing it out. He's definitely under the recommended weight limit but heavier than I. We had some disagreement about mounting techniques - I think its acceptable to just sit on the sit on the short side and position yourself into it, he thinks you need to first straddle it, then position into it. Well, the straddling technique caused the stitching on the attached stuff sack to pop and it was left hanging by a thread. Not a big deal because I hang both this and the strap bag from the carabiners now anyhow.This is advertised as fit for two - I would have to disagree with this... I don't like my boyfriend that much. It's incredibly... cozy. I mean, we could both sit side by side, easily (which is perhaps what is meant?) but laying down together isn't an option.This being said - I purchased the blue/gray for him - this one coming with the nylon hammock-to-carabiner straps. I was a little skeptical because they looks so tiny compared to the rope I got on my first one but they're holding up quite well!If there were any alterations I would make to this design to better fit my needs it would be - a cup holder (somehow) and perhaps a secondary side loop to pull the side up for sun-blockage. My current solution is just to position my foot to make it more taut, pulling the side up more. I'm not sure how else to explain it but the side tends to hang down, otherwise (as opposed to cocooning the user) - this varies depending on how you position the hammock. I do homework in it so I place the head of the hammock higher in the tree so I'm in more of a seated position.All in all, very happy with this purchase and brand (I have several Foxelli products. I believe they are quality, for the price).

Purchased this hammock to take camping, and it worked out perfectly. The material is light and strong, the straps and clips were all very sturdy, and the fabric dried quickly after it rained. I put it up for 4 days and we had lots of people of all sizes use it comfortably. We didn't quite have the perfect tree setup for it, so one side was hooked to a tree as intended, and I used paracord to bridge the gap between the clip and tree strap on the other side. It did sink a little throughout the weekend, but I think that was due to the paracord stretching and it was less than a foot so it really didn't make a difference to us. Also, loved that it came in galaxy print :)
