Great for cashew milk and vegan eggs
I've used most gums and this one is my new favorite. Great company to buy from too. It's typical for gums like this to not have recipes or instructions but I suggest they add something on the package. I think most of us using stuff like this are used to it though. I've used cold and heated without any difference in texture. This seems to be the least offensive to the gut but it looks like more research is needed.My cashew milk 1/4t tara gum, 3/4c cashews and 3c water. All blended cold in a vitamix for 1 min. Should fill a 32oz mason jar, boom! The gum binds all the fine pieces of cashew so it isn't necessary to strain with a nutmilk bag.

WONDERFUL thickner!
I saw Tara gum used in a keto (ice cream) recipe but was not able to find it locally. Delivery took a while because it comes from Peru but it was worth it because it's organic and from a small fair trade company.I used it to thicken beef stew and it was much better than guar or xantham gum and my family had no idea I had not used flour as stews require. I haven't used it for the icecream or dessert recipes yet but the stew alone won me over and now I have another healthy alternative to corn starch and flour which I have eliminated from my diet. BEWARE though, that TINY BIT goes a long way!!!! Make a slurry with more liquid than powder and mix quickly because it gels rapidly and expands in hot liquid! Use cool and warm liquids - not hot because that cooks it in lumps.Best features: silky finish (no slimy taste like Xantham gum), and it is flavorless.

Moisturizing
I got this to use to make "botanical hyaluronic acid". Experimented with a few ways and got a good mix by adding vegetable glycerin to the powder, mix and let it sit 15 mins, then add very warm water while mixing.I use it as a serum addition or enhancer and have been waking up with soft, dewy skin.Of course, I may use the powder later in food and ice cream. Yum!

Great product!!!! IF it doesn’t go $$ crazy
This is a great product for $12.95 that I paid in 2022 twice. But if it goes to $52.00 like I saw on another’s selling page well no way it’s just powder. But this seller was great!!

Works in homage ice cream to keep ice crystals from forming but . . .
Don’t us more that 1/8 teaspoon per 2 cups of cream mixture. Once I didn’t measure, used maybe 2-3 times the amount- the icream held its form- Like a Pudding - in the dish as it melted! Weird!

Really strong
This works stronger than traditional xanthan gum. I would start with half your regular amount of xanthan gum usually used. Gives great crumb and chew in all of my keto baking products.

Needs better packaging with directions and warnings
This arrived fresh and well packaged. It was finely milled. It looks like a fine white powder.There's no real instructions for use on the packaging. I got it to thicken gravies and stews but had no idea on how to use it.In trying to research it, I ran into a lot of warnings on potential digestive issues that were not listed on the bag either.

Can improve a lot of recipes especially homemade ice cream
Good for improving texture and thickening floorless and doesn't add off flowers like some other gums. Needs hot water to dissolve.
