This is truly a superior product. Looks and feels great. The top “umbrella” is removable for cleaning and simply pushes back in using a rubber Oring to seal.Make sure your sink has the correct diameter drain.

Decolav makes a functional, heavyweight drain with durable finish. We have used Decolav drains in other vessel sinks in our home, and we highly recommend. For sinks without overflow, this pushbush umbrella works great. The umbrella top "breaks up" the water flow, allowing the sink to drain better. The pushbutton allows collection of water in the sink, if desired. Drains for vessel sinks are standard size, in our experience.

Neutral at this point. Ordered two and one had a paint bubble on the edge of the drain cover and the other had a glossy smudge on the drain cover that I thought was oil but it was a bad paint job. How these seconds get through to distribution is a direct knock on Decolav's QC dept. Decolav is higher end and I'd expect more for my money. Margins for manufacturers are great on high end plumbing fixtures. You'd think they'd double up on quality control and not let these seconds get out of their factories.I have requested an exchange for these. Amazon is awesome in their return/exchange process! I hope the replacements look as they should.

I really do not know how well this drain works. I ordered it because the faucet description offered for the vessel faucet I ordered from Amazon did not mention that it included a drain. So, I was forced to return this drain to Amazon. They charged me with the shipping (both ways) since they felt that this was not their fault. Caveat emptor.
