Andrew is a member of N.A.B.B.A. And this product is very disappointing? It arrived damaged and when you contact the company who made the product they don't seem to want to help or care? . So just wrap some masking tape around the handle when it arrives and like all British stuff it's to be expected to be poor quality

GOOD: Easily adjustable, convenient denomination of weights, making these dumbells quite versatile. The plastic grips on the bars are solid with no sliding/give, allows sturdy grip on the bar even without weight gloves. The weights themselves are smooth with no rough edges, which are common in weights that are forged, as these are. One thing to note is the weight of the bar and the spinlocks = approx. 2kg on each dumbell. They also come with a poster of exercises to work the whole body, so you can theoretically do an entire work out at home, though these aren't a gym substitute (i still have to go the gym to work my legs and swim, as 40kg isn't a huge amount to lift/move with your legs).THE ONLY BAD THING: if you have laminate or bright coloured tile flooring the paint on the weights will leave a mark if dragged across the floor. I was pushing them out of the way when vacuuming and left a nice black line across the floor. The marking is removable in the case of laminate flooring, may not be on other surfaces... Overall a great buy!!

Arrived pretty fast in two boxes supplied with a dumbbell exercise chart showing all the exercises you can do with them using illustrations.The plates included are 4x5kg, 4x2.5kg, 4x1.25kg, 4x0.5kg and are very nice durable quality.(i have them on wooden floor yet have not had any markings at all from the coating)I really like the grip on these, the quality, the spinlock mechanism is solid and the chart provided was a nice bonus.If you are just starting weights this is a good set to go by as 20kg per dumbbell is a perfect amount to go by then add some more plates later if need be.(i believe each side can fit 5x5kg plates so you can get them to 50kg eventually)

The cast iron discs are good and small so you can fit more on whatever you're using them for. The massive drawback for me is the rubber handles, mine have split all the way down the middle and the end of the handles are demolished, I have used them about 6 times and there's only 2x5kg discs on each so no reason to damage.

Barely used at all.... these are useless the handles are too week for the iron and the weight can not be secured on safely.

Unfortunately I have to echo the previous reviews. The hand grips smash up. Unfortunately they're also the way the weights hold on to the dumbell so you'll need to buy new bars after a month.

Rubber grips fell apart within a few weeks and had to return for a full refund. It's a shame as the metal plates are good quality, but really not fit for purpose with the poor quality grips. Avoid!

The plates are very good quality, can't complain at all, however the bars will not last too long, the rubber handles are falling apart and will need replacing.
