Along with a quick diet change, it helped kidneys old dog's that were overwhelmed with high protein
I have not tasted it but the dogs seem to like it. One dog has confirmed kidney disease & this is helping. Another started heading toward kidney disease after husband brought home kibble for young, athletic, sports dogs for our old dogs.(wth?)After chucking out that poison, I put the other oldster on Daves's canned Restricted Protein & Phospherous & this good phospherous binder. My old guy came back to his previous levels of drinking & urinating!Close call with his kidneys.

Made a huge different for my Cat
My Veternarian recommended this after my cat was only given three months to live. Here we are almost three years later and my kitty is still here! Seems to be due to this product so I will keep buying.
