Magic in a bottle!!!
I came back from a beach trip with the WORST sunburn of my life. Blisters, fever, chills, the works... I was in agony. After trying multiple other products I ordered this in desperation. It was nothing short of miraculous. Within 24 hours my sunburn improved and within 72 hours it was no longer painful. I still peeled due to the severity of my sunburn, but retained a nice tan despite the peeling.

Good value, not sticky or smelly
Purchased for sunburn. Does exactly as advertised. Packaging is appropriate and the quality appears to be consistent and good. It soothed the sunburn and did not have any extra irritations. There was no stickiness, you just poured into your hand and gently dab it on or rub it in as needed. Easy to use. Easy to open. And it seems like a good value so I bought two of them.

Non sticky, cooling, pain relief, and pleasant scent
I know, I know. I should have used sun screen. But let me tell you- this stuff really does wonders specifically for cooling and pain relief. It doesn’t feel sticky or oily and soaks in pretty quick.I’m happy that the first ingredient isn’t alcohol and the spearmint scent isn’t too strong or overbearing. It gives just enough cooling for relief and honestly smells refreshing.Seeing other brands having more or less lidocaine- it’s safe to say that the amount in this is just right. It doesn’t make your skin feel numb but it definitely helps with taking the sting away.I would still find a product that is moisturizing to put on top once this soaks in. At least it doesn’t make you feel dry and it doesn’t give that weird tight feeling.

Not hypoallergenic! Beware! Contains lanolin.
I'll have to preface this review by saying that I understand I should have thoroughly checked the ingredients before purchasing. That said, I've been nursing a pretty painful sunburn the last few days, and in my desperate search for relief, I ordered this stuff. I still had a bit of aloe gel left in an old bottle that got me through a few days, combined with a few applications of Aspercreme I happened to have on hand, so I was delighted to find a gel here on Amazon that already contained lidocaine and promptly added it to my cart. Relief was in my grasp.Or so I thought.Today my purchase arrived, and while my burn was no longer quite so sensitive to the touch, I was still a bit sore. I tore open the Amazon packaging and got to work slathering this stuff all over my body. After a few applications today, I noticed a bit of an itching sensation. Must be the sunburn. But isn't the lidocaine supposed to help with that? And why are my hands itchy? After further inspection I reviewed the ingredients. There it was. My enemy. The very thing that's haunted me since childhood. My old nemesis, lanolin. Now I've known I have a lanolin allergy for some time now. Sweater shopping in winter, wool socks, A&D Ointment on a fresh tattoo, skincare products I've loved only to learn I can no longer use them: all things that were supposed to bring me comfort, only to betray me with rashes and swelling. And this gel. This gel I thought would abate my suffering, but alas Lanolin returned once more to penetrate my back with her dastardly blade (and belly and legs and everywhere else on my body feeling from over exposure to our fiery light in the sky). You've won again, old foe. I surrender this battle and seek the palliation of an antihistamine. A new gel with menthol and lidocaine at a similar price point (and no lanolin!) will be arriving in two days, likely when I will no longer need it, but I will be armed for my next encounter with the sun.Now if I really wanted to mince words, I would also point out this product is labelled as cruelty-free, but lanolin is an animal ingredient, so I'm not sure if the manufacturer can properly make that claim. If that sort of thing is important to you when making a purchase, be advised. I guess I'll give this bottle to a friend to use since I've already opened it. Just carefully check the ingredients before you buy. Don't be like me.

Good 10/10
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product is really really really good. I have a very very pale skin and got burnt at the pool. There was boils on my shoulder in this help within one use I could already feel the relief. It smells faintly of mint but does not burn. I really really recommend this product.

Works great and is cooling on the sunburn
This helped me so much when I got burned in Miami. It does cool down and help the burning. I love how it does not to greasy or sticky and does not irritate the sunburn. I also love the appearance and love that the scent is very mild and absorbs into the skin nice. If I get burnt again I will repurchase but I hope I don’t have to so I don’t get sunburn again lol
