Great choice for a commuter car, even one that didn't come with run-flats
I got these to replace the OEM Michelin tires that came on my 2010 Ford Fusion SE. I have the 4-cylinder model without AWD. I commute about 15,000 miles a year in mixed city/highway driving.I replaced the front tires in fall 2015, with winter on its way and tread down to 3/32. These were a significant improvement in handling and traction of all types (dry, wet, snow) over the OEM tires. Some reviewers had complained of stiffness/harshness of ride. I did not notice any difference. I also keep a close eye on my average mileage using the onboard computer and didn't notice any difference between these heavier run-flats and the OEM tires which were not run-flat and were rated as "energy-saving".A year later (fall 2016), the rear tires were now worn down to 3/32. I was very pleased with the performance of the Driveguard tires on the front, so I bought a matching pair for the rear. Now I have run-flat capability all around on a car that didn't come with it. I will feel much more confident about driving to work on urban highways and streets with these tires that keep my car glued to the road and make stopping for a flat tire optional. A nice bonus that they don't cost more than many other tires that aren't run-flat.

Tire BLEW OUT after 3 weeks of use.
Very upset about this purchase. I purchased 4 of these on Feb 8th for my BMW X1. I finally installed the Bridgestone Driveguards a little over 3 weeks ago. On March 10th last week, driving no more than 30mph, my FR wheel went into a pot hole on the road and tire lost pressure and car almost hit the railing on the side of the road. Luckily I Was able to maintain control of the car. as I drove away, the steering was wobbly and there was vibration in the car. Mind you these are runlet tires. I immediately found a tire shop close by and as the guy tried to refill air in my tire he was unable to and it would not hold air. HE proceeded to remove my wheel to better inspect the tire. To both of our surprise, the back wall of the tire was completely cracked and torn. See pictures. I was shocked to see this on a brand new run flat tire. The X1 originally came with Pirelli P7 Cinturi run flat tires on it and luckily I save one of the tires as a spare and was able to have the repair guy put that on for me to be able to continue driving. I have had my Pirelli's on the car since 2001 with our issue. Ofcourse when I go to contact Amazon about this the return window is closed. I am still going to contact them about this and hope they resolve this for me as I have been a faithful amazon customer for well over a decade. and I've never fussed or returned anything. This wis a very dangerous situation.

I love the grip!!
This is my 4th pair of these tires! Everytime I purchase a BMW and wear out the factory tires, I replace them with these. The difference in traction and sound coming from the tires is immediately noticeable on a rainy day. Highly recommended!
