incredible sound, Incredible headphones
What an incredible set of headphones. I will admit, I've never once considered myself to be an audiophile but recently I have been on a headphone purchasing kick. After several headphone purchases I'll run through some points of these fantastic headphones. The first thing most people should worry about with Bluetooth headphones is the weight and feel on the head. These headphones do not weigh enough to feel like you are wearing a heavy set on your head. I've worn these over the past week on my head for very long sessions of gaming, listening to music and watching television. On the head, they do not clamp hard around your head (yes, this has been an issue for me in the past with another set) so you will not suffer from headaches or get overall relief when removing them from your head.Let's discuss the sound quality with these headphones. First, these headphones sound great overall. Every high and mid is crisp. Not once have I felt that I am missing something when listening to music or watching television. Bass is also responsive but not strong enough to drown out all other sounds. One thing some people may have an issue with is that when you increase the volume on the headphones, they do not get loud enough to blow your ears off. I'm not complaining as I do not like music that loud, but I know some people do some crazy things with headphones, so I thought I'd mention they are loud, but not deafeningly loud. As far as sound leakage goes, I have asked several people around, and not one has said they heard noise. I'm sure this also depends on the level you listen to music, but for me no one has said anything.Discussing the Bluetooth features, I have not once had an issue with the Bluetooth. I have not had any random cut-outs and connecting to new devices is easy enough. These headphones will allow you to connect to a music device and a phone at the same time. This means you can listen to music streaming from a PC but receive a call (stops the music) and chat away. Depending on the phone connected, the headphones even allow you to reply back to messages. Callers say I sound perfectly fine and barely notice a difference when compared to talking on the phone directly. There is a rocker switch on the right earphone which allows you to switch tracks and pause/play the track. Also on the right earphone, there is a volume rocker which alerts you when you have reached max and min volume. On the left earphone you have the power button and a 3.5mm aux jack. The headphones come with a standard 3.5 mm cord from Sony to connect to non Bluetooth devices and I find there is no difference in sound quality when using the jack. Some headphones actually provide better sound through the jack, which means the Bluetooth sound has degraded. For this headset, there is none of that, so it goes to show the quality of the Bluetooth connection.Battery life is amazing for this set. Not once have I felt like I was cut short with battery life. In fact, not once have these died on me after several hours of usage. Charging isn't too bad, but the few times I've charged them I just plug them in overnight or when I know I will not be using them for a while. One of the things I liked best about these headphones is they are not flashy and do not scream for attention as some other headphones do. They come with a simple carrying pouch which keeps them from scratching or ruining the leather. Speaking of the leather, these have some incredibly soft leather around the cups and top band support.Overall, I think these are hands down an incredible pair of headphones. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these to anyone. They have a 40mm driver and provide clear and strong sound. Range is decent when connected to a Bluetooth device. I can get out to about 20 feet before it starts cutting out.Hope this lengthy review helped anyone looking for a quality set of Bluetooth headphones.

Great bluetooth headphones! Sounds AMAZING - you may have to burn them in.
Very happy with these headphones. Connecting them via bluetooth to my HTC One M8 and Macbook are simple. Having the controls to start/pause, forward/reverse track, answer/end calls and up/down volume on the headphone is great. I tested calls on them and they sound fine to the other person. I also left myself a voicemail to see how it sounds and I can't that I'm using the headphones. I can't say how it does with calls if you're outside with wind or in a noisier environment, but they're totally acceptable for taking calls at my desk or around the house. As far as the build quality, it's not too bad. It's mostly plastic but it feels like quality plastic, I guess you can say. It looks very nice also. Perfect for a work setting, on the airplane, in the classroom, etc. I think it's a bit too nice for the gym or running, IMHO. The headband has a nice soft feel to it and it's very comfortable on the head. I love that the headphones turn ninety degrees toward you (if you're wearing them). So for example, when I take them off and wear them around my neck, I can swivel the headphones in so that the speaker area is on my chest, rather than facing outward. Gives my chin some more room to move around also in this position. The MDR1 series turned the opposite direction and I don't know why. Seems like a small thing, but it works nicely for me.Sound quality - these headphones sound great. It's got a really nice full sound to it. I also have the V-Moda XS on ear headphones. Those sound very nice as well, but I can't describe it as being full. I guess having the larger drivers in the MDR10RBT's and being over ear headphones makes a big difference. The other thing is that I listened to them when I first got them. They sounded ok and acceptable, but I always "burn-in" any new headphones I get. So I went on to youtube and looped some burn-in sounds (pink noise, white noise, etc) overnight for two nights and I feel like there's definitely a big difference. Some people say burning in is like a placebo effect, but whatever the case is, I'm much happier with how they sound now. Especially being bluetooth headphones, the sound is amazing. Also, I can't tell much difference between standard mode and APTX mode. Either mode sounds great to me. Bass is controlled and puncy (and not too much), mid's and highs are smooth and detailed.Very happy with these guys and not having a cord is so nice! Bluetooth range with my Macbook is pretty poor. Only about 20 feet before they start to cut in and out. With my HTC One M8, the range is MUCH better. I would say I've gone at least 40 feet with no interruption in the connection. I even left my phone on the first floor of my house and went to the 2nd floor and still had a good connection. Definitely satisfied with the bluetooth range.Definitely a great buy if you're looking for a bluetooth headset. I was looking at the Bose Soundlink On Ear and Sol Republic Track Air, but they were both on ear and my V-Moda XS on ear headphones irritate my ears after an hour or so of use. Being that the MDR10RBT's are over the ear, they are EXTREMELY comfortable. They aren't too large either. Bigger than on ears of course but again these are so comfortable. Worth it to be a little bigger.Oh and the carrying bag it comes with is ok. There's no magnet or velcro to keep it shut but it works. There's a little pocket in the flap that I can put the charging cable and cable. What's great is that because the headphones swivel, it keeps it nice and compact (depth wise) so that I can slip it in my work bag and it doesn't take up a lot of space. The entire footprint is not small but I prefer the compactness depth wise. I actually bought a separate Sony case from eBay that comes with the MDR10RNC headphones and that case is very nice. Zippers up and has a soft pouch to keep the cables in.
