I bought this for my PitBarrel Smoker. Immediately I noticed the arm spinning around; somehow it was loosened.Upate:After submitting my first review, the seller sent me two thermometers (unsolicited, within a month). Many thanks and kudos to them for caring about your customer and reputation. The one I installed works great! And, the back up will too, should I ever need it.Therefore, I've changed my initial 1 star to 5.

I first got one to replace a temp gauge on my smoker that quit working. I liked it so much i bought 2 more for a couple small charcoal grills. They are easy to read and easy to install.

Large dial with easy to read graduations and colors. Great for controlling temperatures for smoking, grilling an so on. A good buy.

Lasted less than 2 months

Does not work, temperature to max and stays there even after opening the BBQ cover! Broke from day one.

I checked "1 star" on temperature control - because this is a thermometer. It doesn't 'control' anything.

It fixed the broken one on my smoker and more accurate that guessing what the temperature is.
