Okay replacements, but not much of an upgrade
I bought a pair of these Pyle PLX462 speakers to replace the defective door speakers in my 2000 Grand Am. Installation was fairly easy; the speakers are a direct fit into the factory brackets, but the wiring needed some modification since the Grand Am doesn't use standard connectors. I ended up soldering some of the Pyle cable (which is merely adequate) to the end of the factory harness. Sound is... okay. These speakers have very little bass response compared to the factory speakers, and they bottom out and make "cracking" sounds with anything but the quietest bass lines or drum beats. Midrange aren't too bad, but the highs are fairly harsh. I ended up splicing a pair of 400uF capacitors into the positive wire to filter out bass below about 120Hz to stop the speakers distorting. Quality control, however, isn't that hot. One is definitely quieter than the other, and when swapping them left-to-right, the difference follows the speakers. But for under $25 they'll do until I can afford something of higher quality.

Better than average
I added these speakers in the back of my 94 GMC Sonoma extended cab along with Pyle PLDV62 DV Series 2-Way 6.5" 240W Speakers in the door. I bought the Pioneer DEHX3500UI In-Dash CD/MP3/USB Car Stereo Receiver. All together it sounds very good. The whole system starts to distort bass at high volume; but, for a system that cost around $100 it sounds good. If you want a system that sounds really good inside the vehicle this works great. If you want to annoy the neighbors from a block away this is not going to work. This type of vehicle has 4x6 speakers in the dash which will require a 4 channel amp hooked up to 4 of the speakers.

Great value and perfect fit!!
Great replacement speaker for my 1989 Suburban!! I was looking for 4 x 10 speakers but wanted to make sure they fit in the original location. These speakers went in with some wiring needed as the speaker posts are not like the originals. This process took all of about 10 minutes for both sides. I now have excellent sound coming from the rear and could not be more pleased with the price.

Great for the price, but not that great.
I purchased these to put in my 94 BMW since a PO had removed the rear speakers. These sound great for a $20 pair of speakers but, remember, they are still a $20 pair of speakers. If I had the option, I'd go back and buy a better brand for more money but I just really enjoy my music.Again, these are a great speaker for the price, but they're still cheap speakers. You get what you pay for.

Nice little speakers
I got these a few weeks ago and installed them in the rear of my '95 Yukon. For the price they are actually pretty darn decent. Bass is ok, but what do you really expect from a 4X10 speaker.I used these to replace a pair of Kenwood 4X10's, the tweeters came apart, and I would have to say the Pyle's are almost as good! For the money, these are a good set of speakers.

Takes a lickin'
These are good little speakers. I bought them for the dash of my trailblazer before I realized that no line had been made for dash speakers on it. I still intend to use them but have had them sitting in their box for several weeks waiting for time to install them. During that time I accidentally drove a phillips screwdriver through the box, and subsequently punctured the paper on one. After adding a dab of RTV, I tested them both and I could not tell the difference.

These are decent speakers for the money but they are not woofers
These little guys are full range speakers that work well in the dash of early Fox body Fords (Mustangs, Capris, Fairmonts, ect...). Don't expect them to take alot of power or have anything close to having bass. For the price though, they're a good bang for the buck with a stock head unit. I wouldn't expect them to live long with any kind of real power, even if you use Bass Blockers or something.

good speaker for the money
I bought these speakers for a 94 honda civic that still had the original speakers in the car. They sound great for the price. The only problem was the old connectors didn't fit the connectors to the new speakers. Some modification to the wiring, and the speakers were good to go, would buy again.

They fit perfectly and sound great
I purchased these to replace my blown oem 3.5 inch dash speakers in my 04 Ram 1500 with Infinity sound system. They fit perfectly and sound great!Cons: They have a strong burnt plastic smell as a lot of new electronic parts do. Air them out before installing. It goes away in a couple days.

Miata Headrest Speaker Replacement : Can't beat the value
Got these to replace OEM Mazda Miata Headrest Speakers. It took me all of one hour to replace all 4 speakers, including soldering, checking polarities and testing. Sounds about 300% better than the OEMs! Now I have much better sound track to the dance on the pedals Miata's encourage. Can't beat the value, especially on Amazon, arrived in two days thanks to PRIME.
