Great product for the price, horrible adhesion - buy your own strips.
This a great dash mount in terms of securing the phone and leaving the charging and auxiliary ports easily accessible. It is easy to mount and dismount the phone. When mounting my phone, it is inconvenient to have to turn off the "lock" feature for screen orientation, especially because not all apps convert to a landscape view, but the alternative is not having those ports accessible. I have an iPhone 6s for reference.I also really appreciate that the product came with a few cord mounts/organizers.The adhesive that secures the product to the dash is terrible. I mounted it to the flattest surface and prepped the surface and product appropriately, but it still came loose after only a few uses. I purchased some of the Scotch Extreme Hold velcro and now it stays on my dash. I placed one strip on my dash and one strip across the middle of the bottom of the dash mount.

Disappointed
Was disappointed with this product. I’m usually getting best rated products. But rating and actual quality does not meet each other .1. It’s not adhering at all. Sticky notes have better adhesion than this 2 sided 3M tape.2. I have RAM 2500 2014 , and its just not fits in any place on the dashboard because of that curve on the base , it’s just not reaching to actual surface in the middle (even if I place it in the most smooth spot afront of the steering wheel. So returning it and leaving this review to aware future buyers. I understand that price is low, but even for this price there is zero value.

Adhesive failed to stick to dash
I really liked this phone holder. It fit well on the dash of my 2011 CR-V. I had to be careful about positioning the phone to avoid the buttons on the sides of the phone so I didn't turn it off or darken the screen accidentally while driving.I cleaned the dash with rubbing alcohol before installing to ensure the best adhesion. It held well for the first 6 months, then the adhesive loosened from the dash and no longer sticks - possibly from sitting in the sun while I'm at work. I really wanted to avoid a holder that clips to the vent ( and blocks my AC) so I guess I going for a suction mount on the windshield. Bummed that this didn't work, but not an expensive purchase and I read the reviews so I will chalk it up to a good try.

Sooo much better than others
I have tried what feels like 1,000 different mounts but this one works the best! I have a pop on the back of my phone along with a case that makes it hard to fit into many holders. This however opens enough and has an open back so it’s not an issue at all! An important thing to know about this one is that it is shaped to go directly in front of the steering wheel and not in the center (for example) of the dash board. We purchased 2. My husband was fine with putting his in that location but I didn’t think I would like it there. I have the round suction disk still in the center of the dashboard and I was able to keep that there and put this on top without an issue. Had been used to my phone in portrait (it doesn’t work in that direction) but for the ease of use, durability, and strong adhesion it’s worth the change.

Would Not Stick to My Dashboard
I really wanted to like this mount. The build quality felt really good for the price and it held my phone securely. Unfortunately, the adhesive would not stay stuck to my car's dashboard, even after a cleaning. It would stick for a little bit, but it would always come undone whenever I put my phone in it or took my phone out. Maybe I did something wrong during the installation process, but the mount felt like it was making good contact with the contour of my dashboard. Looks like I'll have to go back to a glass-suction mount for my car. If the adhesion worked better in my particular case, this would have been a fantastic choice.

Good with some help
This mount has served me well to take time-lapse videos in the car. The most important part, however, failed on me several times before I used some CA glue to repair it. Since then it's been smooth(ish) sailing, and I'm sure that the OEM chose the adhesive method with a budget in mind. Not sure if it was the music in the car, the bumps in the road, or just the rigidity of the mount itself, but the picture I got from using it as a kind of poor man's gimbal was pretty shaky. Not so much of a concern with a time-lapse, but I can see it being an issue for some people. I haven't tried to remove it from my dash yet to see what sort of residue it leaves behind, but at this point I have no desire to do so.

Excellent GPS holder
While I've only used it now for a couple of days, it's evident that the adhesion power of this GPS holder is stronger than the suction cup type on the windshield I used previously. The spring holding the GPS in place is very strong and there's no worries about it losing its grip. So far, I'm very pleased with this item.

Great non-windshield horizontal phone holder
I use this cellphone holder everyday for my commute with Google Maps. I like how it holds the phone horizontally and sticks to the dashboard and is low profile. The grip of the spring is firm and the included mounting tape is sticky; the phone will not move. The only gripe I have about it is that with it on the dashboard, the phone is facing upwards instead of straight at my eye level.
