Urine can often in time cause tile floors to erode; these restroom mats have an agent that helps prevent any damage from occurring. The fibers are designed to not hold liquid but to suspend it. That means it will air dry quickly. The is built into the fibers and stops the enzymes that create odors. The fibers quickly air dry and the rubber backing grips the floor.

Doesn’t fit my standard toilet
I have two young boys who make it their lives’ mission to miss the toilet and pee on the floor. The boys’ bathroom has tile with grout, and their pee gets underneath the toilet because it’s not caulked. I bought these pads with the hope that they would catch the excess urine, and also neutralize some of the smell. These pads do a great job at catching and neutralizing pee, which is wonderful. Unfortunately, even though I have standard toilets, the cut-out is too wide and there is about an inch of room on either side of the toilet. This gap allows for boy pee to seep around the sides of the toilet, which I was really trying to prevent. If I push the pad up far enough, I can usually catch most of the errant pee, but this could all be fixed by the company selling pads that allow you to cut your own toilet gap out!

The awful stench is GONE due to this wonderful product!!!!
My disabled adult son's bathroom mishaps have ruined the bathroom floor and the stench has turned away most family and friends from visiting. Have tried everything I could think to try but nothing worked ....until now. I have used this for a couple of weeks with absolutely NO urine on the floor OR no awful smell. In fact NO smell at all. Years we have suffered. Thanks to this product, we suffer no more. In addition, I have another adult son and two young granddaughters who live with me who have refused to go near that bathroom. They are now using that bathroom. I couldn't be happier with this product and highly recommend it to everyone.

Very sanitary and no smells
I have been using this in our bathrooms for years. I actually tried to skip ordering them to save a little money but it was a mistake.I didn't realize how much this helps with smell and cleaning. The bathrooms smell better and there are messes to clean. I get more use from them by leaving them under the sun after 2 weeks of use. I also spray them with febreeze. I love these.

Good add on
Alone, this doesn't do much. But with a deodorizing mat on top, this soaks up any ickyness that the other mat doesn't get and fits tight around the base of my toilet.

Not the right shape
Does not fit snug to toilet base. Must still place paper towels under mat to catch splatter.

It is an interesting design. Got it to protect a toilet that kids are using. I think it needs to extend further toward the back. Knocked off a couple of stars for that.
