Nokta PulseDive Pinpointer with Built-in Wireless Module, 3 kHz Frequency

Really needs better sensitivity adjustments. I often have to scan an area for a long time because it won't pick up something near the surface that my large Nokta detector does.

I bought the Pulsedive because it paired with the wireless headphones on my Simplex and shuts off the signal from the detector and goes through the phones automatically when the pin pointer is turned on. Because it was designed to be underwater as well as on the land it is built like a tank, as it has to be able to function at the pressure of 200 feet underwater. Because of this the buttons are a little harder to push otherwise the pressure at deep water will activate a normal button and render it useless. Because it works on pulse induction, it has great depth sensitivity and allows you to accurately pinpoint your target before you dig even when 4" down saving a lot of time. Integrated battery lasts a very long time and recharges quickly. As far as negatives go it does not pick up foil well unless you are close, everything else is very good. It will also get hung up every once in a while when removing it from the holster on your belt. Comes with a tip protector which I never use but its included. As a bonus, you can purchase the coil for this pin pointer which will allow you to use it like a detector in the water when diving or snorkeling. Would purchase again.

This thing is very Sensitive. The buttons are as advertised, hard to press but I will get use to it fast

This pinpointer is a good little machine. It is well made and works great. Never had any issues with it. I've actually found more with this than I have my big metal detector. I've really beat it up too, still works like a charm. I tied it to a piece of rope and just drag it around since my large metal detector got fried from saltwater. I love how sturdy and dependable it is.

Clunky interface- 5 levels of discernment- level# one is maybe 1/2''- for tiny gold picker flakes?? otherwise useless. same with setting 2. three is getting there, about 2 1/2 inch range.but not very handy... four is too big a jump, about a 51/2-6 inch range, where I leave it mostly, but, hard to pinpoint accurately and #5 is useless, too general. Switching between ranges is tedious double (very stiff action) button presses, that cycle through the ranges. I wish the range was a bit more for 2 and 3 less on 4 and 5 to make the unit user friendly. May get the dive coil down the road, perhaps the range choices will make more sense with that unit. Caveat- I have never used any other unit to have any standard of comparison.

For starters this thing is built like a tank!!!! That being said I wish the cap on the back would not come loose so easy though This thing has a lot of features and it's very sensitive One of the best pen pointers I've ever used If you have the simplex it works with your Bluetooth Working in unison absolutely a time saver
