It's not transparent, we were not able to see the color inside. Everything went well, it just cracked after the kick so I don't know if I can reuse it for another gender reveal, but for one time use it's great.

We used this as a way to find out the gender of our baby, just my husband and I. We had a friend fill it for us and put in a basket with crinkle paper so it was protected. I will say before my husband kicked it, we both said we think we saw a tiny pink tint from the ball, but it wasn't clear enough for us to know for sure. But, turns out it was a girl. :-)Be aware of that! The ball is hard plastic but gave us a good powder cloud once my husband kicked it.

The material is hard and can be intimidating but it’s actually really easy to break open. It worked out really great .
