Ayurvastram Ivy Embroidered Block Printed or Solid Pure Cotton Tunic, Top, Kurti, Shirt, Blouse

This is a beautiful top. I have waited months for this to be available in my size, and I am crushed to have to send it back. These print tunics are simply cut very strangely. The sleeves are cut way too tight for the rest of the sizing of the top. I do not have abnormally ginormous arms. I had previously ordered and returned the strawberry print top for this very same reason, it was big and loose everywhere except the too right arms. I hoped it was a fluke and wasn't going to be an issue in this top. No such luck. I LOVE their pintucked tunic tops, I WISH they would fix this issue so that I could enjoy these lovely print cotton tunics.

I bought this huge because of a dryer that only dries at hotter than Satans summer home, no matter what setting it is on, and I needed ample room in the bust. The shirt is lovely. I tailored the sides in after washing and drying.

In the picture the hips are wider than the shoulders. However, in reality the shoulders are wide and the hips are narrow. Shaped kinda in a V. Also, the fabric is a little too thin for my taste.

Love the colors and it fits great. Comfortable to wear with jeans, leggings or as a cover up. White linen is thick enough that you cant see thru it which is improtant.

This is PINK not purple as shown. The description does say pink, but the photo is obviously purple. With that said, the pink with the turquoise embellishment is really cute. I really wanted something purple though. I will keep the pink, but beware that it is not purple...it is a really light pink.

This is the third tunic top I've ordered from Ayurvastram, I ordered the slate gray color - it's sort of like a dark stone blue/purple. The top is lovely but when I washed it (following their instructions) it came out with a faded streak down the front. I sent the seller a picture and she immediately refunded my money and offered to send another shirt. Shailja identified the problem (that the material looked like it had been over-dyed) and said she contacted the manufacturer to let him know. She was super helpful and appreciative. My other 2 shirts from this seller are white, so there has not been any issue with them fading. I believe this was a fluke defect and would confidently order more shirts from them in future.

I guess I ordered too big. I cut it down some and looks good. I like the fabric. Soft cotton. The embroidery is beautiful! A nice work shirt. (I'm a teacher.)

Purchased white with green embroidery most tunics I have tried on from India have the same cut, (going up 3 sizes) They are always too tight in the armpit area. I am seriously considering buying a 3X in this shirt and having a tailor size it down to fit me because the green embroidery is SUPER BEAUTIFUL, some of the best I HAVE EVER SEEN. I wish Indian tunic manufacturers would pay more attention to measurements and take into consideration that European Americans are build different than Indian women and have different measurements. When I buy Mexican tunics, they fit great. Also tunics from Mexico are generally made from a better grade cotton. It's thicker. The cotton on this tunic is thin and not the best quality, but for summertime and humidity, thin cotton might be a good thing and the embroidery is exquisite (not an exaggeration) so I could overlook the fact that the rest of the shirt is thinner cotton.
