A great agate burnisher! Comfortable in hand, and won’t scratch your set stone! Will be buying more for my silversmith friends!

Fits well in my hand. Shaped just right to burnish the sides and top of a bezel .

I throw with a speckled clay that is high grog. I was having the issue where rims turned out be rough with grog on the surface. Running this over the rim when trimming has solved the issue for me. I'm not burnishing to replace glazing and the glaze takes just fine to my now smooth rims. I know I could have used most any hard surface to accomplish this, but did I mention how pretty this is? It looks so good in my kit and has no sharp edges that could catch on the clay and let me cause problems for myself.

I use this to burnish pottery. It works very well and is lively and comfortable to hold.

Some pictures show a tiny hole in the small end, some don't. Mine had that hole. Seems like it would be a useful surface, but there is a sharp edged hole there that will scratch your work.

This is the best tool I have purchased for finishing a ceramist surface from leather hard clay to bone dry clay with terra sigillata. I am so pleased with it. Ot is my present favorite tool.

It is agate and nice, but it is very flat. On the picture it had a slight curve, which I thought would be easier to use for leafing. There is also not a hole for hanging, as pictured.

I am using is for burnishing prints onto rice paper and gold leafingso far is it fine.

Fits nicely in my large hands.Perfectly polished and good functional shapeI use it for burnishing leather and hardwood carvings.Well worth the money.
