Faith's Checkbook: One-Minute Devotions Hardcover – January 1, 2009

As a huge fan of Charles Spurgeon, I ordered this. So glad I did! It is a small size devotional so it fits in a purse & is easy to take anywhere. As a hardback, it doesn't bend or crease. As Mr Spurgeon as a direct way of speaking regarding Christianity, I highly recommend this.

I read this yearly.. I like its faithful exposition of scripture..I wonder if it might be more appealing to today’s generation without KJV descriptors?

Winter times my hands get shaped, and this stuff does not smell good, but works wonders in healing.

As far as 'Classical' Daily Devotionals go, Faith's Checkbook is by far the one that speaks to the heart; if you have sorrows, trials, oppression, fears of the future, discouragement and disappointments in life -then these short comments taken from scripture- better known as ' God's Promises ' (using the King James Version of the Bible)give the reader encouragement and hope. Spurgeon tells us that we may take God's promises that pertain to our particular situation, and use them as we would a check written to us endorsed by God- taking it to the bank of heaven, and ask God to "Do as Thou has said." These 365 precious promises from God deal with a wide selection of topics, will comfort, encourage, and strengthen the reader.

This is the best devotional book I have read! I can feel the passion the author has for his purpose that GOD has predestined for him to do. The words in each devotional for each day has had such a profound meaning in my life and the passion I have for GOD has compelled me to buy several of these books and give them to family and friends! I have been truly blessed by this book! Thank you for you obedience to GOD'S calling on your life, Charles Spurgeon!

This book has daily encouraging, uplifting devotions for the Christian walk. It's got lots of practical information and has this "magical" quality that somedays when you pick it up...you're reading something that seems only meant for you! And that's when you know how Awesome God is...to be able to orchestra that!! :) Great book!!

They're short but dive right to it. Quick easily accessed strong faith applied in just a minute to start the day right aligned to God's gracious wisdom.

I have been using this as daily meditation since I first converted 11 years ago. Surgeon is am.excellent teacher and this book blesses me.each day that I read if. Well worth if!

One of the best books for daily devotions I know, and it really just takes one minute a day to read.It gave me a more focused start into the day.

Beautiful to hold and exquisite to look at, with gold edging and softly padded cover. I bought this for a friend, who loves it so much she brings it with her when we meet to show me a particular devotion that has inspired her. You will NOT ever regret buying Faith's Checkbook to keep in your handbag or give as a gift for someone special.
