Not a bad $5 pen. Nib is not a Western <M>
Loaded this up with Noodler's Bulletproof Black. It has a nice "felt-like" feel as I drag it across some HP Laserjet Paper. This is definitely a dry writer, but not uncomfortably so. I have purchased several HERO and JinHao pens and they always seemed to run more on par with Western sizing. It is much thinner than any other Chinese <M> nib that I have used before. It's more on par with the Platinum Century 3776 <M> and other Japanese nibs. In general, it puts down a line that is drier, thinner and smoother than I expected. In reality, there are no markings on the nib that would indicate any sizing and it is most likely just a mistake in the description. That's the only reason that I marked it down a star, it is not the nib size that I felt was promised by the description. The nib does not have a breather hole, giving it the appearance of other steel flex nibs but it certainly isn't. This nib doesn't flex at all.The included converter isn't the best on the planet but it is certainly better than the 100% transparent ones that usually show up with Chinese pens and it can be disassembled for cleaning. I wouldn't do it too many times, though, it doesn't appear to be as durable as the Schmidt, Monteverde or even some of the better JinHao converters I have acquired.Appearance is nice. The brass body is not as bright blue as the listing would have you believe. In a poorly lit room it will look black. Under light, it has a pleasing blue marble look. Patterned enough that it looks interesting but conservative enough for professional use. The silver clip appears to be of better quality than many pens in this price range but not great. It fits tightly, at least while new. It's a snap-on cap that posts very well. It's snug and I think it would take a bit of effort to get it to fall off. Unfortunately, the pen becomes horribly top heavy when posted. I will write with it unpostedTo wrap it up, I think I have found my new office pen. I will keep it in my office full time, next to my JinHao 991. It writes fine enough that I can use it for forms and documents. It is pleasing to write with and seems to put down a pretty consistent line. Nothing remarkable or life changing but nothing really dragging it down either.

The entire Nib assembly is cheap, not seated properly, and ink will not flow
It has a cheap, flimsy nib assembly, and nib. The ink will not flow through it.The tines of the nib separated when I was trying to get the pen to write like it was cheap foil.Twenty minutes have passed and the pen still has no ink flow.
