Impressive size, slow speeds
This is flash pen is pretty impressive size-wise. Can't get much smaller than this. You get just the contacts and a little extra to be able to pull it out of the slots. I had been keeping a Sony Micro Vault Tiny for ages just because it was so thin/small but even that one looks pretty big compared to this. Storage space is legit (I filled it 100%) and checked checksums after copies and reads, doesn't seem to have errors. Doesn't heat up much on copy. The bad part is that speed is pretty bad as expected. It maxes at 20MB/s but it has a lot of drops to very low speeds, 3MB/s or so, very volatile. On a 100% fill copy it averaged 13 MB/s, which is pretty slow for a flash pen but quite acceptable if physical size is the priority. Not a bad buy in that sense. Can't vouch for how reliable/hard it is since I got it recently.

Great for the post.
My little USB stick arrived yesterday, I wrote 30GB of data to it, and sellotaped it to a piece of paper in an envelope. My colleague's getting it tomorrow - MUCH faster then trying to upload it to them on my internet line! I included an SAE to get it back. This little device has made the impossible, possible! It's small, so intrinsically sturdy. It doesn't have any status LED's on it. I thought it had at the end where there's two little copper pads on the opposite end to the USB pads. But they must be just test points. You want to be careful with it... the "stick" (short-rectangle?) is tricky to pull out with greasy fingers, so you want a USB port that's easy to get to, and also have dry, non-greasy fingers to pull it back out! But if you want an easy to pull out USB stick, you'd be buying one with a keychain attachment. This one's designed to be kept in a wallet, Jeans top pocket, or posted! And as such, it's designed beautifully.
