Wonderful Bag, easy to transform, full of compartments and pockets for organization
I love this bag. I replaced an old wheeled backpack that I had purchased at a leather store. This one was more expensive, but after 1 1/2 weeks of use, it's worth every penny... It is the size of a large backpack and the handle has 3 height settings, plus can be put away and zipped into a pocket. There is a fabric handle as well, so you don't have to use the pull handle to lift. It is easy to switch to a backpack. It has a nice front pocket with inside slots to put pens and such. The next compartment is a laptop bag with a laptop pad and room to include other things like a 9X12 notepad or a cooling pad, and the laptop charger and anything else, like maybe a portable keyboard. The biggest compartment holds lots of stuff. You could put a set of overnight clothes, etc. in this compartment with toiletries, etc. I use it as my briefcase and include notbeooks, a portable desk set in a bag that holds pens, sticky notes, etc., a headset with microphone, etc. with room to spare. The two side pockets are a nice size for extras. On top of all of these awesome compartments, this bag is waterproof. I life on the West Coast where it rains a lot, so this is a big plus. One of the nicest things about this bag is how easy it is to pull. I replaced a bag with this one that had "inline skate" wheels and it had a drag on it and was hard to pull, especially in the end when one of the wheels fell off. These wheels are set in such as way as the bag just travels right along with ease. The pull handle is also easy to set up and down in the different settings with a simple push on the button.

A great book bag
Got this for my 5th grader. Only real problem is the middle zipper only unzipps 1/4 the way down the sides and makes it harder to use. But it holds A LOT of books and all her other 11 year old "stuff" also. Up date 07/25/13 - got a new one for the new school year (6th) - most of my child's book bags only last 4 to 5 months and the ones with wheels have been a joke in the past. But not this one! Up date 07/22/14 - Not only did this bag last the whole school year but it is being used through the summer also! It is still holding up nicely. Zippers still all work, the wheels turn great, the handle still goes up and down AND it could pass for "slightly" used if I took a wet rag to the outside. All I can say is wow this was a great purchase! Up date 02/21/15 - We retired the 6th grade bag and got a new one for 7th! That says a lot that we keep going back to this bag. We love it! The only reason we retired the last one is because the whole family were hard on it over the summer. It got used a lot, sleep overs, vacations, summer camp, the lake....It is a very versatile bag, not just for books and school.

Great Bag, holds a lot. Great for 17" laptops
I love this backpack! Fits my 17" Lenovo Thinkpad perfectly. Holds 1 to 3 nights worth of clothes, if you are a light packer. Has a great function area in the front zipper area. holds bottles on the sides. Fits perfectly in the overhead bins of American, United, Delta and Southwest without any worry. Haven't used this on super small planes yet, but so far, so good. Great for 1 to 2 night trips as a carryon. Sturdy, rolls great, no issues with handle. So glad I did my research on this one. Just love it. I get looks from passengers as I roll it on board, and ever so lightly, lift it in the overhead without issues, plus its soft so I can smush it and move it around to fit around other bags. I don't think the others think it will fit. But it does. I haven't tried to put it under the seat yet. No need too. Just a great bag that holds a lot.

Impressed over the competitor
Thanks to Amazon.com's Free Return policy for "select" clothing, shoes, and luggage, I was able to purchase my top 2 choices in rolling backpacks and see which one would work better. I narrowed it down to the JanSport Driver 8 and the High Sierra Powerglide, hoping one would work and then I could return the other. The JanSport was a decent backpack but had its drawbacks, so the High Sierra was the clear winner for comfort and a few other bells and whistles. Pros: Has all the necessary components, ample room, nice gliding wheels, laptop sleeve in the middle compartment, zip away telescoping handle, etc. - While I wasn't sure if the two side zippered compartments would really hold a water bottle, I was pleasantly surprised when it held my large water bottle (Contigo ~11" tall) snugly and then my insulated coffee mug (Contigo ~8.5" tall) completely zipped away. - I plan to use the backpack & rolling feature a lot during the day, and going back and forth between the two, so the straps are much larger and more comfortable than the JanSport and how they fold away is very simple and easy. The foldable velcro cover is also padded which gives a bit more comfort on the back. The straps are always attached compared to the clips on the JS. - Since this will be for business (wearing suits), I love the extra padded flap that covers the wheels. It's not a complete cover and might needs some adjusting, but a really great feature. - The carrying handle on the top is more padded and easier to hold than the JanSport. - The media compartment/headphone area makes a decent spot for keeping glasses protected. - Has a triangle clip for a myriad of uses. - Has a keys clip in the front compartment that is detachable. - I liked the front compartment that holds small items like pens, calculator, etc. much better than the JS. Cons: - The middle zippered compartment where the laptop sleeve is located is a bit small, but has room for the laptop plus files/binder. But in a way, it might be better to separate the laptop & cords in one compartment, versus keeping in the large area on the JanSport. - The media pocket with the hole for headphones was a bit of a joke and very hard to thread through, but I will never use this feature. - The zip away handle could be problematic and in the way. Also the zipper seems a little tight. Since this will be going on a airplane, I liked the zip-away feature, but I'm concerned this will be annoying or start to wear out. - Doesn't look like it will fit under the airline seat like I had hoped (overhead compartment is OK), but neither will the JS one. Needless to say, the JanSport is being returned and I'm keeping the High Sierra.

Excellent backpack. Sturdy frame, well-built. Big enough to fit a few large textbooks, school supplies and lunch etc. Keep in mind that it is pretty heavy on its own. It could definitely be improved by a mesh water bottle pocket. I end up having to put my water bottle in the main compartment with my textbooks. The side pockets are far too small (and already full besides). Another issue is that the handle sticks when moving it up and down, increasingly noticeable even though I've had it for only three weeks. The wheels definitely save your back. When not in use, the shoulder straps can be zipped up. Cons: 1) Weight 2) No water bottle pocket 3) Handle sticks Pros: 1) Roomy 2) Sturdy 3) Rolls easily

Used it for first time since purchase. Held my 17" laptop and lots of space for other items. Great carry on bag. Light bag, easy to pull through airport.

The product is good but the condition in which I received it was not good . The bag was dusty on the exterior . So am giving only 3 stars otherwise the product is a 5 start product .
