This product has been a life-saver, allowing me to finally go out in public after a long period being house bound due to incontinence issues as the after effects of anal cancer. I can go about 3 hours out in public before the incontinence odor starts to break through, which to me is great. If I'm somewhere I can change the pads I also wear, then I can buy myself some extra time out. The only negative is the washing requirements, which means using ONLY soda crystals (sodium carbonate Decahydrate) in cold water by hand, and air drying. If you don't follow these instructions, you will ruin the filter sewed into the undies and there goes your $48 investment, down the drain! Still, I never leave the house without my Shreddies on!

It works really well I was pleasantly surprised and love it I just wish the sizes were lil bit bigger they run lil small

Event the Large was too small. Not sure who can where a large this small. Fit fine around the waist but had no but room. Kept sliding down as there simply wasn’t enough room to hold or allow my but cheeks to rest in. If I had flat or no but cheeks then maybe they would fit, but them why get a large with no room for but cheeks?

I have never reviewed anything online, but I after ordering these and seeing the reviews that they have previously received, I wanted to offer my viewpoint. I suffer from ulcerative colitis, and one of the more annoying symptoms is unrelenting, powerful gas. I work in a chemistry lab during the day, so the fume hoods do a good job of getting rid of the smell there, but I don't have that luxury at my apartment. As such, I was on the lookout for a product that would allow me to operate more normally and not have to run away during conversations or excuse myself as frequently from social situations. Not only that, I had planned an international trip that included one of the longest flights in the world (16 hours), and I needed to do something about my problem before then, for fear of grossing out my fellow travelers. Enter the Shreddies. Other reviewers have remarked that they are a tight fit - I found that the sizing chart was accurate and I didn't have any issue with the size (I am a 30-31 waist and bought the small). They have to be a little snug so that any gas is properly absorbed by the carbon cloth. They are a fairly attractive pair of underwear, and I hope the manufacturer offers them in different colors soon. Now the question: do they work well? Yes. While I wore them on the plane, I did not notice any smell a single time, which I thought was pretty remarkable. When I arrived at my destination, I washed them in baking soda and put them in the drier as the manufacturer suggests, and their efficacy was unchanged (be sure to follow their instructions to the letter)! Same story on the flight back, not a single bad smell. Overall, I'm a happy customer. Yes, I wish they were cheaper. But for people like me who really need something like these (especially when you don't have access to a fume hood), they are more or less the only option (but a good one at that)!

Great idea but built too small.

I bought a pair of TOOTLES and loved them. They were out of stock and I needed more so I figured I would try SHREDDIES. Not even comparable. I feel the stitching when I walk, when I sit, not cool. I paid TWICE as much for these and will never do that again.

It's rare that I give a product 5 stars, but this one deserves it. Wow! These things really work. My hubby is suffering from bad gas. When I say bad I mean horrible. He has had multiple operations and now is fighting cancer. The gas, we believe, is from the different surgeries and a side effect of medications. We never dreamed that his gas would be as smelly as it is. I searched high and low for all kinds of remedies. The only thing that worked... ? Were charcoal tablets and this product. Believe me when I say it saves a lot of embarrassment and leaves the air fresh.
