Smart wifi CCTV camera
After wanting a reliable CCTV and one I can access using my mobile so I bought this Outdoor security camera with night vision and motion detection .On opening the box the items were all good (see pics). After I read the instructions I tried to set it up to the wifi and connect using the app .Set up was surprisingly easy took about 10 mins included reading instructions and downloading supporting application. The camera feels well made ,strong and sturdy and weather proof. The camera has a very good picture quality which is such a good thing as picture quality is a must for me , and it connected to my wifi with ease and I didn't have to change any setting making set up easy. The smart wifi camera is great as it gives me piece of mind and sercutiy when in bed or out of the home.Overall a well made product with excellent picture quality(see last pic) along side easy to set up and use.I am happy to say I am happy with my purchase and would easily reccomend to anyone wanting a little more sercutiy or an extra eye looking out for you.Overall a great productA happy customer

great value security camera for the home
Very fast delivery great value - paid less than £35. Camer was easy to set up with clear instructions on how to install and set up. It connected to the home wifi without any difficulties. It comes with mounting screws and power cable. The camera is as it looks from the official photos. it is well made and feels sturdy and weatherproof.A smartphone is required to scan the QR barcode so it can set up the camera with your phone. This is a good home security camera for inside or outside the home. There is motion detection and night vision. The camera has a very good picture quality. This is a good camera for its price.

Good equipment indoors, poor manual and AC adaptor
The camera itself is a very good quality piece of kit at least no worse than others and has voice. However it is let down by the manual having errors and omissions leading to the installation and setup taking longer than necessary.1. Camera connection - this section claims that WPA/WPA2 are unsupported, leading me to believe this was the reason the camera would not connect on WiFi. This is wrong as I use WPA2 and it works. The camera was nearly returned for refund due to this mistake.2. 'If WiFi fails to connect press the reset button for ten seconds'. Unlike many technical products the manual's illustration of the camera is deficient, and for instance fails to show //where// the reset button is. I had to ask other customers here. The WiFi connection procedure should be a clear step-through process, not three ambiguous separate stages - the 'Scan QR Code' stage for example just enters the URL as the camera UID which of course fails. The steps should be:i) Refer to router manual, decide on fixed IP address of camera and if necessary set up port forwarding. Disable security measures such as MAC filtering. These measures save stress later.ii) Connect camera by cable to router.iii) Download CamHi app to phone and run the LAN detection option. tap the button for WiFi settings and configure WiFi. Use the IP address you decided earlier.iv) Check router connected devices to see if it found the camera.v) Go back to the phone and tap the WiFi setup option.. you should be able to pick the camera you just set up on cable. Complete WiFi setup on phone and ensure video is accessible.vi) Power off the camera, unplug the cable and power on the camera again.vii) Check router to see if the camera is connected now on WiFi.viii) Check phone to ensure video is still streaming now camera is on WiFi.ix) Now camera is functioning on WiFi, if necessary go ahead and set it up on whatever software you intend to use if not the CamHi app.Update: 08 March 2020The camera is now fully installed and operational. The picture quality is very good, and once in situ the camera doubles as a door entry system as the built in speaker allows you to speak to the person at the door if you are unable to get there yourself. As such it is cheaper and more versatile than other dedicated video door entry systems.Be warned, the length of cable on the power adaptor is wholly inadequate at about a metre or less. Given that cameras are almost always mounted up high it is usually nowhere near a metre from the nearest power socket, thus the cable will need to be lengthened by someone qualified to do so.Update: 09 March 2020The Timezone defaults to Asia (GMT +8). Given that this is for a security application accurate timing is //essential//. Make sure during setup you set the timezone correctly and then set the camera to your phone's time.Update: June 2021This camera's power adapter is very poor: although the camera itself is marketed as an Outdoor device the PSU does /not/ like continuous use.Whilst it was fine in the summer, when autumn set in with much more variation in temperature, and often much wetter conditions, the camera has had to be powered off and back on several times. The IP rating is the same as more expensive cameras but there is //no warning// of a loss of signal, the user is expected to notice leading to sometimes days of cover lost.A second camera is in use pointed at the back door, never outside so the fault has to be the adaptor.

My two peneth
Going to bullet point the comments in no particular order -Good imageApp logs out every time you move away from screen and even when in the screen.Desktop app goodDownload recordings works well. Can’t set the trigger zone so anything moving through the camera triggers an alertPower lead way too short, needs to be 4 times as long.Apart from that 👍Note I have still promoted to neighbours and people at work because circa £25 makes this unbeatable for the money

Don't give anyone your passwords
No sound and when I try to set up alerts to phone, password to email required!! Don’t understand how product gets consistent 5 star rating for this breach of data request alone! Returning item immediately as I can’t use full functionality without providing full access to my email account. Seller response is asking to check user manual without email address. This makes no sense to me

Brilliant camera, great price
I purchased this camera after a recent spate of shed break ins.It came next day and set up was simple and quick. The picture quality is fantastic both day and night. I played around with the settings to get the next view at night in a dark area and you can easily make a face out even at distance. The app is simple to use. What I really like with the CamHi app is that it highlights alerts so you can skip straight to detected movement rather than scanning through looking for intruders, plus it records 24/7I’ve had no issues or faults.
