Solid quality, functions very well, and a good size
This is exactly the sort of cruet we needed to replace the glass one that my fiance dropped on the top edge of our baby gate and shattered all over the kitchen floor and dining room carpet... This, I'm confident, will not shatter and cause the sort of constant anxiety left by the shattered glass in high-pile carpet, paired with constant vacuuming and heightened fear about "what did he put in his mouth?!!". Alright, I'm being a LITTLE dramatic, but only a little. I'm thrilled with this little plastic guy! Seals very well, mixes fine, the tipping plug works just fine. Everything feels very solid, and it looks great. Doesn't hurt that my fiance's favorite color is green, either. :) No complaints so far.

Perfect, almost that is
My mother's nickname was "Gadget" and I seem to have appropriated her nickname. So I'm a bit of a gadget freak, kitchen gadgets that is. I used to use a Ball jar, which frankly left an oily mess pretty much everywhere. Then I found this OXO dressing dispenser and I have to say it's great. But I added a steel mixing ball to it and I now have a perfect salad dressing bottle. It's small enough that I can replace the dressing often, it never drips, it pours easily with one hand and I can see what's in the bottle. I keep it in the cabinet because I don't like my oils exposed to light. Highly recommend.

Great Salad Shaker
We love this salad shaker. Since we got it we have been making our own dressing, not only is it cheaper than buying it also is not processed and does not have any sugar. We have had no problems with leaking and the spout makes it easy to pour with no spilling. The best thing though is the measurements marked on the side. No need to get any other dishes dirty, you can just measure it right in the container.

Best container/mixer to date
This is the best dressing container I have found to date. It replaced the Whiskware version that I also bought from Amazon. I used the little metal spring ball from the Whiskware with this container. It would work without it, I just wanted to use some piece of my prior purchase. The problem with the Whiskware and most other container/mixers is that the spouts drip when you pour with them. That drip then runs down the container and creates a mess. We’ve had spouts for thousands of years but we can’t seem to develop one that will not drip? In any case, this mixer/container works very well and the spout is better than average. When you hold the little cover lever down, it does not leak when you shake it to mix the ingredients. The best alternative to date.

I'm pretty happy with this
I'm pretty happy with this. I was looking for something in which I can make and store dressing and where it would not leak when I shake it and not run all over the sides of the container. Previously, I would make my dressing in old mustard jars, and it would totally leak all over when I shook them. This is not perfect and there is still a drip issue, but I suppose it would be hard to avoid that with anything (except perhaps a toil glass jar with a long metal spout- but in that case, you would not be able to shake without a leak, I imagine.) So the only downsides of this contraption are: 1)I wish it were bigger- I basically go through the full volume of dressing in one week and since vinaigrette keeps for a long time, I wish I could make a larger volume. 2)when shaking the seals are totally tight and totally reliable- amazingly so and it is impressive technology. However, when you pour, the dressing does kind of stick to the spout and remain there (I usually "clean" it off with some lettuce to use it), and some gets in the top of the green thing and accumulates there. That part is hard to clean off, so it kind of accumulates until I wash the whole contraption, in my case a week later. But all in all I think this is very well made and clever. If there were a bigger size I would be very psyched to get it.

Great product, but don't put it in the microwave!
I used two of these for over three years and they served me well until I put them in the microwave to liquify the dressing that solidified in the fridge. The spout has two metal pivot pins for the stopper that heated to the point that the plastic melted. The bottom part of the bottle was undamaged.

Easy to use, mix, pour and clean, with no leaks.
I needed a salad dressing bottle with graduations so I could just fill, shake & pour. I've gotten good products from Oxo, so I thought that this might be a good choice. I'm really happy that I bought it! The bottle is very easy to hold with its rubbery, textured green grip. It's easy to clean, although it's a bit tricky around the pouring spout, but show me a bottle that isn't (except using a cork). It's graduated so I can easily pour in my oil & water (or whatever your salad dressing of choice) without having to use a measuring cup, and shake it up really well, no leaks. Did I mention that it opens for pouring & closes back with one hand? Overall, I think that I made an excellent choice.

Perfect for dressings and sauces.
Perfect for making salad dressing or sauces for the two of us. Stores nicely in the fridge due to compact size.

I have owned 3 different types of salad shakers. This one is not only the simplest, it is the best of the bunch. You just shake and pour neatly. The lid and seal are sturdy. This is the smaller size -- just the right size for a reasonable batch of dressing. It has measurements on the container, but thankfully, is not covered with annoying dressing recipes.

Good Points: 1. You can unscrew the top and have ample room to add ingredients (unlike the traditional salad dressing bottles) 2. The fitting at the top pivots but stays in place, so it doesn't get lost or fall off 3. Enough room in the container to make a good portion of salad dressing (1 1/2 cups) 4. Plastic so doesn't break if you drop it with oily hands 5. Dishwasher safe 6. Looks ok to put on the table (although the colour green is not my favourite) 7. Has a spout so you can pour it easily, and close it afterwards No so good: 1. Inherent in the great design is a small consideration - the spout does get dirty with what ever you pour out of it. So if you make enough sauce/salad dressing for many servings, you really should close the spout fitting and wash it or remove the whole top and wash it after each serving. Some people say this defeats the purpose of having a reusable shaker, but I think it is a small price to pay. I find it really useful and well engineered for making salad dressings. The size is just right. Great value for money. 1. The top, sp
