Sempervivum Arachnoideum 'Cob Web' is well known for its spider web-like structure across the face of the rosette. This Succulent is beautifully hardy with a delicate look in designs and arrangements. The base of the plant is a bright lively green with thin classically shaped sempervivum leaves. This plant is native to the Alps, Apennines and Carpathians giving it a unique resistance profile. Typically this tight forming rosette reaches about 3” maximum and pups offsets rapidly allowing for fun and easy propagation. This is a fairly easy beginner plant to care for, and makes a great option for folks new to gardening and plant care. This plant blooms mid to late summer. Origin: Alps, Apennines and Carpathians Plant Type: Succulent Size: 1-3” Propagation: To propagate, clip pups by the stem, and replant the stems in a well draining soil. Growth Habit: Sprawling mounding rosette Light: Partial shade or bright indirect sunlight. Water: Let your succulent dry completely between watering cycles and always avoid any standing water near the plant. Pot your succulent in cactus and succulent soil mix with excellent drainage. Zone: 5-8 Temperature: This plant does best in dry climates. During cold winter months, bring your succulent indoors near a bright sunny window, and keep away from frost. Fertilizer: Fertilize your succulents in the spring and summer months bi weekly with succulent fertilizer. Tips: Use a succulent fertilizer to bolster your plant’s natural defenses against pests.
