Great filter for a Briggs V-TWIN engine !
I use an automotive type of filter in my 2005 MTD 46" mower with a 21HP Breaks & Scrap-them engine. I prefer using this type of filter vs the "recommended" PUNY OVERPRICED filter from Briggs. This filter holds WAY more oil and sticks out further in the air stream, both good reasons for engine longevity! I have been doing this for almost 20 yrs, with NO (NADA) engine problems! I happen to pick the BOSCH filter because of a YouTube recommendation AND because it is CHEAPER than the Breaks & Scrap- them filter!

Excellent oil filter for any vehicle/ oil type
I go between Bosch & Motorcraft oil filters for my '22 Edge ST AWD. Both filters are excellent an offer high efficiency w/20 micron filtering capacity. It doesn't get any better than that! As long as you don't go "over" 7500mis w/any full- synthetic oil either works great. Have had oil analysis done in past (Blackstone labs) an always looked very good. I use Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic oil in all my vehicles.
