Size:9005 (HB3)  |  Color:12000k HID lights have a glass chamber of gas that replaces the filament of traditional halogen light bulbs. The gas is ignited with an approximately 23,000 volt charge and stays illuminated by a constant 12v source that is provided by a ballast which is connected directly to your battery. Remarkably, HID lights are able to provide greater light output with much less power consumption. Studies show that a 35 watt HID lamp produces 3 times as much light compared to a 55 watt halogen bulb. Moreover, the 55 watt halogen bulb uses a continuous power draw of 10-15 amps, while the HID system uses 20 amps for starting up, but then drops down to a mere 3 amps during operation (that is up to 80% less power during use!). In addition to high output and low power usage, the HID headlight provides longer service life. With no filament  to vibrate and fatigue, under normal driving conditions, HID bulbs last roughly 10 times longer than halogen bulbs. What is the HID Color Temperature? Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a light source, in this case the HID bulb. Color temperature is a characteristic of light that is sometimes misunderstood as brightness, when it's more closely related to cool and warm color tones of light. While cool and warm are words used to describe a light's temperature, this may be a bit misleading. The term color temperature actually refers to the color that is associated with the amount of heat needed to produce a color in from an ideal black body. Here is a rough guide to Color Temperatures for our HID bulbs (It is hard to describe HID colors accurately because different people tend to perceive colors slightly differently): 3000k= Yellow, 4300k= Bright White with a hint of yellow, 6000k= Pure white light (some people detect a slight blue), 8000k= White light with a blue tinge, 10000k= Light blue, 12000k= Deeper Blue, 30000k= Violet/Purple.

2018 Ram 1500 --No more flickering or capacitor --
This may be lengthy but it is well deserved.I have a 2018 Ram 1500 truck. I wanted to install aftermarket HID fog and headlights. I first went to a professional installer who after trying to install the headlights noticed the lights would flicker. To eliminate this he added a Capacitor to the lights. This method worked with the flicker but after a month 1 light stopped working. Then the other light not long after.After doing a web review of the components the installer used I found that all the parts came up to roughly $20. Cheap parts=Cheap performance.I started looking for a better alternative online to do the install myself, and came across the Kensun brand. I had never heard of the company but the reviews were good and I liked the look of the fancy packaging.I ordered the Optimum Conversion Kit for my fogs. It came in a briefcase, with 2 HID lights and 2 thin ballasts.Install went smoothly. When I tested the lights with the truck on RUN (not ON) the lights worked great. So I put everything back together.Started up the truck and the lights would intermittently work then shut off. Sometimes they flickered, sometimes they didn't.Tried it with engine off and on RUN position, lights worked great.So I called Kensun customer technical support, and explained my issue. They said I needed a special harness which wasn't included in the Item I purchased but they would send me 1 free of charge. Fantastic.I received the harness a few days later but no instructions so I called Technical support again.I was literally walked through every step of the install with the technician. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question I asked.Armed with this new information, I installed the harness which took about 30min. Most of that time was spent making it nice and neat. Best part was I no longer needed a capacitor to stop the flickering. The harness I was sent eliminated that problem.Checked the lights with truck off- Worked PerfectlyChecked with truck engine on- Worked PerfectlyThis is definitely a 5star product and the customer support deserves 10stars!Extremely Happy Customer =)

More than the product, AMAZING customer service.
THE ABSOLUTE BEST.Great product and great customer service.Let me tell you my story. I bought this on December 2017.So I get the package and after a little struggling, I manage to install one of the lights. Then I noticed that it is not working. So I try different combinations of Ballast and Bulbs, luckily it seems that the issue is only with one of the bulbs.I cursed my luck and contacted customer service for Kensun, I have bought many products online over the years, but this was the first time I have gotten an e-mail reply so fast. It was even close to the holidays.Five days later, I receive a new Light bulb. I finished installing everything and, crap!, the low beam of one of the bulbs is not working. I contact customer service again.They didn't ask why, they didn't give excuses, they shipped me a new bulb.Now I am a proud owner of HID lights in my new car and I am super satisfied with the service and support they have provided.

Not an exact fit but close.** Update! **Definitely read
I installed these and 1 didn't work. One of the terminals had pushed over. I straightened it out and it works well. It is not an exact fit and when at a stop it.looks like the bulbs are bouncing up and down. Very bright. **UPDATE** Well here is the update to this order. Someone from Kensun contacted me about this not fitting correctly. They immediately sent another set and they work great. 10 stars for customer service. Unbelievable! I would order bread and milk from them if they sold it. What a classy Company who cares what their customers think.

Well wrong my dumb self got the right connection but not the right ...
So i bought my kit thinking i got the right ones. Well wrong my dumb self got the right connection but not the right bulbs. Instead of getting the single beam bulb i order the hi/lo beam. When i open the package i looked at the bulbs like shiet this are not the right ones. I needed the H7 instead of the 9007/hb5 bulbs. But it was to late cuz i had to get them in there cuz my old HID kit had giving up on me out of nowhere and i had gotten a fixing ticket cuz of it. Anyways to make it sure i decided to trim off the bulb housing in order to fit it in my headlamps. Got them to fit, they looked great but i wasn't too happy about my mistake.So i contacted the seller asking them how much it would be just to get a replacement set of bulbs. Seller told me to just send it back but i told them what i had done and that all i need it was a pair of replacement bulbs.Next thing you know Mary, the lady from customer service told me that they were gonna send me a pair of replacement bulbs H7 free/ no charge, i was shocked cuz not alot of customers go beyond customers expectations.So with all that i recomend buying from this seller, product is amazing, super bright, and super easy to install and plus you get a nice little briefcase for free 😁

Flickering lightbulb
Install super easy and they kicked on as expected but have one bulb flickering which is really annoying. Hopefully I can get it swapped out and all will be well.

Good and bad
Ive bought two h11 kits before and they were perfect! Packaged and all worked very good but these two h1 kits I’ve just received literally looks like someone just stuffed the kit...

Better quality control
Love the brightness.... but my passenger headlight burnt out almost less than a week of being installed

Broken 2 days later. I expected quality
One of them burned out two days later. Not very happy. My last set (different brand) lasted 3 years. Superbrightled.com

Disapppinted to say the least !!
First set had a defective bulb. The bulb kept changing brightness and color. A slight bit of confusion between the seller and amazon as to who was responsible to make it right.

One of the bulbs has just burned out, reached out to Kensun to hopefully have them replaced under their two year warranty.
